So if you look at that guy's Twitter the account is 2 days old, and only has the one tweet. I think there's a strong chance that he's trolling off of the leak trying to get people to second guess.

I've been hoping that SDS would go for a Golden Age player. We lost Hank Aaron last year, so I'm hoping it's him. They did a fantastic thing last year by starting a scholarship with the Jackie Robinson Foundation from the Deluxe Edition. I hope they follow up this year with something similar.
With another thought, since Ohtani is on the regular cover and is a two-way player, maybe they'll have Babe Ruth, another two-way player.
Either way, it doesn't matter to me. I don't buy the game because of the cover.

Hard to argue with the picks here for cover boys. You have the most dynamic player in the game currently in Ohtani and a household icon in Jeter. Really can't understand who would be unhappy with these two choices as it is a total win-win scenario.
Household icon??!?!? Not in my house!
Not saying everyone bows before a mural of him hanging in their living room, but hard to argue his mass appeal and star power.

I agree with who is on the cover, but it would be cool to have Jeter in the game despite everyone saying he would be mediocre. Having him on the cover obviously assures that and it would be cool to have a Postseason collection or World Series collection like the 42s to start the season and Jeter have a 99 Postseason or WS card as the reward.
I know everyone is giving him silver defense and above average speed but stick him in a 2001 PS card using the Jeter flip or him flying into the crowd and call it diamond. Use his November 1st HR against the Dbacks and give him 90+ power. This is imaginary. The year Pujols hit his 500th HR he was nowhere near maxed power and 115+ contact not to mention his 68 speed yet here we are.

Yep. I got had. I'm 1 of literally an entire community who got fooled by an admittedly great fake. How ever will I cope?

My thoughts are that I do feel bad for the people that really want Jeter in the game and want to use him... I probably won’t, as I’ve said before my team rule is high socks and stirrups, but for anyone that wanted him, I hope he gets in the game someday soon.

Stay away from social media lol. Its for fun, not for believing. If something comes true then great. But wait until it happens.
But like mentioned above. I wouldn't be surprised if he is still a new legend added. Just not cover worthy. Even with his popularity in one market. There are way more talented guys today.
