Where did you go to college? Lol ask the 2014 Royals If they weren’t shut down by a starter in relief during the 7th game of the World Series
Heck, the NATIONALS won their WS title almost on SP alone, both starting games and from the pen.
Every PS is like that. Charlie Morton shutting down the Dodgers game 7 to clinch it in 17
It's happened for a long time. Another memorable one was Randy Johnson coming in for over an inning in game 7 of 2001.
-
He also pitched in relief in 1995 postseason.

Funny thread.
I often bring a starter out of the pen if a game goes to extra innings. I might bring a starter out if the pen if I get rocked in the third or fourth inning too.
So what?
Is it worse than facing P5 DeGrom every game?
There have be a few events where the LH RP selection was sparse so I used LH SP if thr situation called for. Events is a different ball game (pun intended) than Ranked Seasons though.

Unfortunately the OP has ripped off his jersey Antonio Brown style and is skipping through the end zone with indignant, sophomoric rage as he realizes he's made up an argument and a bunch of intelligent baseball fans showed him the error of his ways. OP is no longer a Buc....I mean, no longer in this thread.
Oh yeah, and there's a drive by Castellanos and it's gonna go for a Home run.
Post of the year. So good. Why are people still talking about this?
Nice allusion to one of the all time uncomfortable TV moments in MLB.

obviously
Totally not true. I distinctly remember Bumgarner coming in as a relief pitcher in either the clinching game of the '12 or '14 World Series. And Jon Lester did the same in Game 7 of the 2016 World Series. It doesn't happen in the regular season because you don't want to mess up your rotation in 1 game when a season is 162. But in high leverage postseason games you see it more often. It is not against the rules.
Lol I posted that in here but I don’t think anyone watched it.
-
I totally understand what this guy is saying. I was playing a guy the other day and he did the most incredulous thing you can do in a baseball game. Bottom of the 9th with 2 outs, down by one run, his pitcher was coming up to bat and inexplicably he used a bench player to come into the game and hit for his pitcher. I was appalled to say the least, but I still won. Karma I guess.

Anyone else notice the OP is long gone?

This guy is trolling lol. It takes 2 seconds to Google it and see MLB teams do it all the time, so clearly not illegal. Don't feed the trolls guys.
I honestly am leaning more towards him being a moron over trolling.
He claims to have played in college. Anybody who played ball or is even a casual fan of baseball would know it's not illegal. There's no way it's not a troll job. The moronic level is too astronomical for it to be genuine.
I think everyone misunderstood him. He probably meant he played MVP 06 NCAA Baseball for Xbox 360 once at a frat house, and thus knows everything there is to know about Major League Baseball.
That was a fun game, but I really miss the NCAA football games!

That's because it was a troll post. Got everybody riled up and then sits back and watches his handiwork. Pretty successful troll I'd say lol.

And I think y'all are responding exactly how he wanted you to. He'd have to be legitimately mentally handicapped if he truly believes what he said. But either way, I guess this thread has been entertaining lol

Or Scherzer and Urias. Or Max Fried and Alex Wood. I mean I could keep going but I hope he realizes by now lol

It’s simply illegal in the game of baseball. That’s why they don’t do it in the MLB. Haha you obviously don’t know anything. Nvm I rest my case
lol what college,
maybe at best you mean a sp that pitched already cant reeenteer if taken out. otherwise idk what cc,juco, naia college youre at but its not illegal. -
Guys, the OP is obviously trolling the forum. We all know that this idiot hasn’t played college ball and I’d probably be correct to assume he didn’t play above Babe Ruth ball. We all know there is no rule barring starting pitchers from relieving in Majors or in College. In fact many colleges pitchers don’t have defined roles as many of them act as relievers when they’re not starting. This dude deserve no attention and should be advised to not speak when angry as he obviously doesn't have any self control and just makes it up on the fly.

Is it rare? Yes.
Does it happen? Yes.0
Is it cheating? Not at all.Stop being over dramatic
haha absolutely mate - usually when opponents do this you crush them anyways plus tire out their whole rotation

Dude.. I played college baseball. It is illegal to bring in a SP for a reliever.
Lol no it isn’t. It happens all the time. In college if a pitcher throws 76-110 pitches in a game they have to sit out for 3 days. But that’s the only rule.
-
I start RP in RS, if my opponent isn’t very good I’ll stick with relievers as I’m trying to parallel them up. If he is good I’ll bring in one of my starters.
