From watching twitch to playing my fair share of games, it seems like predetermined outcomes are real. I've especially noticed that when a fluky hit happens, the odds a home run happens thereafter increases dramatically. Can someone convince me otherwise?

I was literally thinking that same thing my last event game. Harper just stops running at the track lets the ball drop on the track bounces away now runners on 2nd n 3rd and guess what?

It's true, the rubber banding in this game is so obvious, I haven't even seen anyone from SDS bother to deny it anymore. I don't like it. But when you pay careful attention, you realize that the pitcher confidence meter is how this whole game operates. I don't think this game would even work if it was just a neutral thing, like the role of the chess board in chess. It wouldn't even work I don't think, unless they went XCOM, and actually let it be RNG. Perfect/perfect? You get a 90% hitchance, and it's actually 90%, regardless of gamestate. Late/Ok? You get a 15% hit chance, and it's actually 15%, regardless of gamestate. Don't even get your PCI on a pitch? You get a 0% hit chance, a swing and a miss, 100% of the time. And so on.

Such a game would be so awesome. But so would living the life of Leonardo Dicaprio. Odds of either happening are about even, at 0.0%.

Sometimes when I get an early 3-0 lead and then the perfect/perfect lineouts start, and I realize that I gotta go 7 innings with hitting essentially turned off, just so the opponent can get the tying run up to bat by the 9th....sometimes I just say meh and quit right there. I do that. Because I know how the game works, my friends! I have over 1,500 ranked seasons games played in 21 alone hustlin owl, how many you got on the ol' ledger?

I guess the rubber band breaks in a lot of your games.

I firmly believe in this game having DDA or a form of it.

No one knows and we probably won’t ever have the privilege of knowing.

The only thing I know is that people claim it most after a tough loss and they’re unable to reconcile the loss in their mind. It’s easier on your self-esteem to theorize about reasons why you lost than to take the L with dignity.

If you've played over 1500 ranked games in 21 alone, the game must be doing alot right, otherwise you wouldn't play that much.

It happens in games you win too. In fact, my experience with these types of games are that they generally happen when you are easily beating your opponent.

Take a four run lead and suddenly the next inning, your full confidence pitcher will walk a guy with one out despite your trying to throw strikes, or there will be an unforced fielding error on a routine play. Then there will be a no pci home run and your lead will be 4-3.

It’s almost like the game says, “ok, you’re the better player, so prove it by overcoming this BS.”

Some of you will swear I am imagining this.

I was playing a game a few months back, winning 3-2 or something like that in the later innings. Suddenly walk a guy but the next batter hits to second base. I start the double play, throw the ball to second, SS Lindor with 99 fielding catches the ball, steps on second and then drops it on the transfer. Runner on first is safe. Next batter, super high and inside FB to Grandal and he somehow hits a HR to RF... on a 102 mph FB up and in near his head (and I meant to throw it there). I ended up losing when suddenly everything the guy swung at was a HR.

    This game is pure garbage.

It’s very predictable and tbh I usually get more upset after a win then I do a loss. What upsets me is the frustration of getting poor results on numerous AB once you get a lead. Have your opponent look clearly overmatched all for it to come down to the 9th inning and your opponent now can magically Jack homers and will always get the tying run on base. I hate that and majority I do come up with the win but the frustration of the clear BS allowing your opponent to even come close to winning makes me shut the game off for awhile.

One and only stat I would love to see is the amount of games ending by mercy rule from years 2016 to now. I guarantee it’s a sharp decline especially starting in 20. I remember mercy ruling or getting mercy ruled much more often then lately. Did we all magically get better and worse at the same time?

To be fair on that last part, especially in 21, the increase in dashboards would also have a lot to do with mercy rules dropping (if they did in fact drop). Especially with people just chasing the 30 wins

    1. So, boosting early on in the games cycle is acceptable?
    2. Boosting to get cards you want is acceptable, but not (I guess we are supposed to fill in the blank here)?
    3. Boosting stats in DD games to accumulate cards/rewards that you are not going to use because you don't play DD?
    4. Are we suppose to believe you don't play DD, when you have played (and bragged about) playing 375 games of RS?
    5. How is playing 375 games of RS not playing DD?
    6. How is playing 375 games of RS suppose to make us believe you weren't/didn't play with those cards/rewards you got from boosting?
    7. Since you gave us a link to your profile and bragging about your RS record, am I not supposed to notice your stats show that you were boosting?
    8. What is the "nice try"? I put out the stats from the link you provided and it is blatantly obvious you were boosting and you even admitted to it (thinking it would be acceptable since you did it early on in the game). So, I don't get what you think I was "attempting" to do and that I did not accomplish!
