Did anyone else who played a fair amount this year not get any player to Parallel 5?
-
I I have to say that it is a bit embarrassing to admit, but in spite of me playing a bunch this year and completing 8 of the 9 inning programs I have not gotten a single player to Parallel 5.
I don't know if it was only because I constantly swapped out players as I earned better ones, or that I did programs that required specialized lineups causing me to get fewer at bats with my main players, or that I swapped out to using my all Cardinals team after using my main squad for most of the year. Whatever the reason, I have not only gotten anybody to parallel 5. Shoot, I am not sure if I have any at parallel 4.
Based on my recent playtime, I can safely say it ain't happening at all this year. I have Signature Adam Wainwright just 7 points from level 4 so he would be the most likely to make it if anyone does.

I don’t have anyone there yet. I mix up my lineups a lot playing conquest. Haven’t played ranked enough to get there.
I think I have 3 guys at P4: LS Story, awards Chipper (should probably just use him til I get there) and I think my 99 Jackie is there.
-
I have like 15 or so, but I don't change lineups when I play conquest often. I kept the same guys in just for the purpose of getting to P5. My lineup changes are mostly online only
-
I got 10 5’s (so far) but it took a dedicated effort of leaving guys in the lineup FOREVER to get there.
I’ve since changed up the strategy to get as many P1s as possible. I’m currently at 259. (30 LS, the rest legend/flashback)

I originally attempted that strategy, but I just find it far more satisfying to get as many as possible to P5 than playing a card I never used before for 5 conquest games and swapping him out

I've played all year and only got one SP, ASG Degrom and RP, TA Doolittle to 5.
POM Buxton & Scwarber, LS Tatis Jr., MA Ohtani, TA Thome, LS Trouty, & Sig Longoria the rest. 9 total.
I have some 4's though! TN Yerminator, & Cronenworth, 99 Jackie, Sig Lindor, Awards Chipper, Milestone Lee Smith.
I noticed playing offline, for me some of these cards got worse on their way to or after 5 believe it or not. -
I'm in the same boat. I love using as many cards as possible, I do theme teams based on Program like Field of Dreams, All Star, Postseason, TA etc
I also complete the TAs using a different lineup for every division. By the time the next TA is released I use the more current and juiced cards. The benefit of course is getting to use this huge collection.
The definite drawback is not getting anyone to P5. I think when I finally finish T5 (about 20% left), I'll put a team together of my P3s and P4s and see what I can do.
-
My main goal this year is just to P5 all the players I like, regardless if they’re the best options or not.
PS Donaldson, 99 Donaldson, 97 Bryant, 99 Harper, 96 Rizzo, 98 Schwarber, 99 Thomas, 96 Oswalt, 99 Arrieta, 99 Mantle, 99 Chipper, 99 Honus, and LS trout are the main ones I’ve finished so far.
Currently working on 97 Chris Davis, 99 Wisdom, 99 Trout, 99 Posey, 99 Gehrig, 99 Ruth, 99 Foxx, 99 Hamels, 99 Kaline, and 99 Wagner.

I’m with you, it just takes way too long and with all the content they threw at us this year i was more intrigued to try new guys.
If p5 gave you even more of a bonus then i think you’d see more of them….but only getting +1 for the amount of time it takes doesn’t seem worth it to me
-
I think Chipper is my only 5.....but I don't use him anymore
-
I got Chipper, Finley, Giambi (All Star), Alomar, Trout (LS), Pujols (rookie) are P5. Schwarber (POTM), 99 Gonzo, 99 Larkin, Story (awards), 99 Miggy, Mantle (awards), 99 Soriano, Story (LS) are P4. No pitchers though….
-
I've gotten exactly 2 cards to P5 (Awards Chipper and 42 Babe Ruth) and have a handful of other early game cards at P4 (TN Ryan McMahon, 42 Jackie, All Star Mattingly - second inning boss) but I doubt I will get anyone else to P5. So many good options at every position that I like mixing and matching and basically playing with theme teams.

I think chipper is my only, and based purely on I was lucky to have him early on and just took hhim out since tatis took over short and honus to third

I've obviously played a bit. I've got:
27 position players
12 SPs
5 CPsand have Ruth, Griffey, Foxx, and Aaron at 4 (Trout is still at 2). I haven't switched up, and only removed someone when a better player came along. Sounds like a lot, but I know there are those who have considerably more, but I can't just sit there for 12 hours or more straight, and grind someone out.

It's worth it for up to P4. The fact that the difference between P4 and P5 is the same XP it takes to get from p0 to p4 Is a little crazy for just one more +1 boost IMO.
