PCI overhaul

I truly think the pci system needs an overhaul. Wayyyy too many games decided by non pci hits/homeruns and that just shouldn't happen. The pci absolutely needs to represent the barrel and there shouldn't be a outer pci for vision either. Playing good players on HOF is still a foul ball fest and it just gets real frustrating with the undeserved hits

I agree. Event games for the last month have been somewhat comical because of the pci placement homeruns. That goes for my homeruns as well.

Wow you don’t say!!! From what I gather here, everyone had bad HR hit against them, never for them.
That’s a breath of fresh air

While I agree, removing the outer PCI is not going to happen. Their main revenue source doesn't come from World series players, I'll tell you that. There is a reason there hasn't been an extreme program yet

Hit the nail on the head.

Which head?

The reason there are so many foul balls is to counter pinpoint pitching. And…..honestly, the foul balls don’t matter if you’re up against someone that is really good at pinpoint. Hitters don’t stand a chance this year if the opponent can pitch well.

There’s so many foul balls to cater to people who aren’t good at the game. Those people are the ones who really cut the check for sds. Sadly there probably won’t be any changes due to this

They need to let people just strike out and miss the dang ball.
-
I hit a HR in RS last night on an early swing and the ball wasn't even in the PCI. Felt dirty.
IRL, stuff like that happens. But this is a video game, and there need to be video game rules that cut down on randomness in competitive play.
About K's and foul balls, I'd be fine with fewer fouls if they banned the outlier perk. THAT is the real thing that's ruining the game.

I think outlier is fine, as long as they don't give it to any random players. Degrom deserves it, but why would they give it to Justin Verlander.

The entire hitting interface needs an overhaul.
Zone is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. You have your eyes and the hitters "eyes" and they need to synch up with your hands, etc.
That or make the strike zone what it actually is-- there isn't an umpire on Earth who calls letters high strikes.
It's way too much real estate to cover.Directional is the most realistic, but is useless online because you can't get to the up and in fastball.
I applaud the players that can hit the down and away sinker and pull it 400 ft. with zonr, but that's not how baseball works.
I use zone, but I hate it.
Thankfully, with most games ending 2-1 with 5 total hits, I win way more than I lose, but it isn't fun. -

I also agree with this point. The gamers who are really good don’t spend a dime on this game other than the purchase price.

Didn't watch Verlander when he was with Detroit huh? No, he didn't throw 102 every pitch. With how it currently works works the only 3 pitchers that actually deserve outlier are Degrom, Nolan Ryan, and Chapman. But saying they randomly gave it to Verlander of all people is a bit strange
-
Outlier is a problem any way you cut it. PERKS in sports games are a problem, period. Like badges in 2K or X-Factor in Madden. They override ratings and increase the cheese.
-
Also, giving a random prospect an outlier sinker nearly ruined the game for non-WS-level players for a good part of the year.

The outlier sinker isn't why Cabrera was good. Its because his release is glitched. I don't see many people talking about how OP Walter Johnson, Zack Britton, Gregory Soto and Alex Reyes are, and they all have outlier sinkers

That rings true. Thing is on top of you before you can react.
That being said, sinkers are too powerful overall -- combine with glitched release, and UGH.
-
I don't disagree one bit about Cabrera's release, but I also don't think all outliers are the same. Nolan's outlier seems way more overpowering than Degrom's...and really anyone's. Could just be me though.
I also am not fully convinced the PCI is the biggest problem. 125 attributes + clutch + quirks =lots of craziness.

Come on brotha, you know Clase deserves it! You should know that being a tigers fan
