I've been playing MLB the show for several years now. I've never made World Series and don't think I will again this year. My average has fallen to just above the mendoza line. I love the content, and love playing all the different modes. I watch all the top guys' videos on YouTube and try their techniques, but I still just SUCK!! lol
I did manage to beat March to October and win the world series which was cool.
Anyways, for those of you that suck like me what are your favorite game modes to play? Or, do you just keep plugging away online and hope to get better?

I am not great and play completely offline. Conquest is my main mode, probably followed by moments. I wanted to love Showdown but I have not had any luck so far. Because of that, I am struggling to earn program points

I'm doing conquest as well and same struggle with Showdown; I got the first starter one done and then no luck

I'm so bad at hitting online I avoid it. I'll get brave and give it another try but just end up pissing myself off. I mostly stick to all the single player DD stuff. Where I still loose to the cpu on rookie.

Honestly I would try playing the event, it’s a good way to learn to hit online a bit. You just have to learn to be patient and use some good strike zone discipline. This is my first year playing DD and I really struggled hitting as the last time I played I used the pure analog swing system. It takes time and by no means am I a top player but I can definitely hold my own now

Unfortunately this year is really geared toward online play. I'm like 1-9 in events and 0-1 in ranked season. My hitting is putrid. I call my online daily missions - Weeklies... Took me all week to get 3 XBH with a gold player... sigh... I guess my next venture is to get pounded online and rack up inning with Oswalt.

Ah yes. I love it tbh. But then again I love getting pounded in a lot of other ways too though.

nope currently 16-3 in ranked and 77-23 in the event

I'm strictly offline as I couldn't hit online with an oar. I finished all conquests but the showdowns are burning me out. I did finish the 1st inning one and 1 AL East, but I've probably lost more stubs then I gained. I should start to keep track on that.
So, I'll probably try to stack my lineup with players from the team I'm going for and grind out games vs CPU for the innings until conquest comes out with more content.

I mainly stick to offline as well doing things like conquest maps, moments, and showdown. I’ve never made it to WS either but I can usually stay between 600-700 online and occasionally crack 700.
And one thing that has really helped me when playing online and offline as well, like showdown, is basically not focusing at all lol. Like if I’m in a party having a full conversation or listening to music just rocking along I find myself just reacting more and not getting over anxious and notice I’m getting better contact at the plate.
So if you’re looking for a little help with you’re hitting game, next time you’re playing don’t give the game 100% attention....works for me at least lol

I’ve only ever made CS 3 times ever. Only made it twice last year. Probably will never make WS. Didn’t play online at all in 18. I don’t know if I should play a lot of ranked seasons this year. I try my best not to get discouraged by a loss, but oh well. Hopefully I’ll get the courage to not give up and keep trying to get better

I’m 5-30 in events. Can’t get much worse. I don’t mind the losing and trying to get better but the resetting my team because I’m automated at 90 is so bad every two three games.

I play them all I suck to and will never reach WS or go 12-0 in BR but it's the chance of getting lucky and maybe 1 day doing it..At my age reflexes slowed eyesight diminished but as long as your having fun..To me it's a marathon not a race and I didn't have to buy my way to the top to brag I'm the best because even with all 99 cards I would still suck lol!!

Just switched my tv from a 2010 Sony with something like 700ms I think if I am correct to a 2019 tcl with 11ms lag. And just wow. Such a difference. Was hitting bombs on legend during batting practice. Before that I was just swinging wildly at everything! I can actually line up the ball now. My skill points went from 400 to 700!

I just wish they would add more moment missions to the 1st inning program so it would easier to get to 1000

I suck but I still play mostly online. If you play ranked seasons you usually get matched up with someone close to your level. Just dont play the first day or two of a new season.
Seriously though, just don't worry about your win/loss record. Just play baseball. Even losing it's more enjoyable than running through conquest over and over.
