You know, as a Red Sox fan, I dig this KDclemson character.
Why? He exemplifies every negative Yankee fan stereotype!
And i have friends IRL that are Yankee fans, so yeah, I know it is possible for normal people to like the Yankees.
But that's boring to talk about. The negative stereotype Yankee fans are WAY more fun to interact with!
Negative stereotype these 27 rings boss
Rings in your lifetime:
Red Sox 4
Yankees 1Hope you're an ancient history buff!

Jeter was a great captain
False.
Great captains change positions to help the team instead of acting like a prima donna and making the new guy move.
Can you think of many instances where a hall of fame player changed position to accommodate a new signing? Not the guy coming up the ranks that was drafted by the team, but one that the team signed to take his spot? I do not have love for the Yankees as an Orioles fan (or a fan of baseball at all), but Jeter was the face of those teams for many years. I think Jeter has as much right to insist playing short as the Yankees had to push for a guy who played the same position.
It is also important to note that Alex Rodriguez wanted to go to Boston and not New York. He agreed to restructure his massive contract and even take less, but MLB blocked the deal (it likely upset the MLBPA too as they didn't want a prime player taking less money).
Ripken moved to 3B while he was still able to handle SS.

A-Rod is still better than him at Short even after sacrificing half his career at third for him.

APB on Jeter! Thought he was coming today?

I lived 3 blocks from Camden Yards. Could see the stadium light's from my street. Cal was my favorite player. I met him a bunch and sold memorabilia for Ironclad. If Cal moved to third on his own he did so because he knew he lost range. It wasn't like he was blocking a uber prospect. Next time I see Cal I will ask him.

I am not a Jeter fanboy, but how Jeter played the game and how AROID played are not the same. Take a look at AROD's dirty plays and then google Jeter's. AROD had much more talent that Jeter, way more. But talent alone doesn't make a great leader. Moving from SS to 3B doesn't ruin careers unless you can't hit, which AROD always did.

Just wait, they talked about HOF directly before opening the box and after revealing the legend Ramone called him on the phone and said something along the lines of how that wasn’t a real reveal and that coach pranked him.
Which basically means there’s another legend on the way, and that legend will be leading off, for the New York Yankees, number two, Derek.. Jeter, number two.Jeter was a great captain with lifetime stats. He made one of the most intuitive plays I have ever seen against the A's in the playoffs. With that said, his card to me would be Barry Larkin. I would rather see Negro Leagues players get their respect over a Jeter type. If I had to pick a cover athlete for next year it would be a cool cover with all the Negro League All Star's together.
That’s an absurd take
Please explain why? Who would you compare Jeter to stat wise that played the same position with spectacular plays mixed with some below average fielding seasons?
I know a lot of baseball people say Michael Young was basically Jeter playing in Texas instead of NY.

Guys, Jeter couldn’t move to 3rd…who tf which team wants a slap-hitting low-power guy at a premier slugging position. Could have moved to second though.

I think saying Jeter was a slap hitter is a ridiculous statement. Would you say the same of Cal Ripken? They had very similar SLG%.
