I'm writing a new book
-
It's going to be called "Slide steps, pitch outs and pick offs: The life of a CPU pitcher when a man with 60 speed is on 1st"
Hey, SDS....ever heard of pace of play?
-
Lol! Can't wait for it, I want a signed copy.
-
I can't wait for the movie.

In b4 "the book was better"
But to OP....yeah its brutal. I was doing a conquest game with my "switch hitter team" and Grossman was on first with mid 50s speed (77 steal) and they threw to first 3 consecutive times....
-
It's even worse in moments when the guy ends up getting picked off first to take away your last at bat. It's painful how many times they throw over

I was inspired to write this when with 2 outs and Kolton Wong on 1st with 59 speed the CPU threw two pitch outs to start a batter off. Baffled is an understatement.

It's even better when the pitcher throws a slide step curveball or change up.
-
Can’t wait for a copy. I love it when they think David Ortiz is a threat to steal
-
Miguel Sano Moment in this weeks TN moments. I get trying to prevent the suicide squeeze, but come on. They pitched out like 5 times while I'm trying to hit a homerun. LOL If I'm Miguel Sano and my manager asks me to suicide squeeze in an arbitrary regular season game...I'm immediately requesting a trade. LOL

Stop taking an extra step. The leadoff given is more then enough

Sometimes I don’t. Only 80+ speed players I do it with. When my big papi and Jorge posada take normal leads they auto think that they will steal or they could pick them off

Stop taking extra step problem solved

But I'm not leading off you weirdo. All you do is play the CPU. You should know this one

A couple weeks ago I was doing a moment where the CPU did like three straight pickoff moves. Normally I'd be like "OK whatever. If the computer wants to make me sweat a little, I"m OK with it" but in this case THEY WERE THROWING TO A GUY ON 3RD BASE! I was thinking "Settle down there, Mr. CPU pitcher. I know you don't want to give up the lead but I'm not gonna steal home."
Not even complaining. It was just funny lol

Think I will read the book in between cpu pitches. I find myself holding down R2 and not letting it go just because mentally I think I am tricking the computer into thinking I'm running. It actually works sometimes and results in a pitchout.
