Do you remember Kirk Gibson??? Probably not, my guess is you weren’t even born when Kirk Gibson took one of the ugliest swings a human has ever taken and sent that pitch into the Right field bleachers to walk off the Athletics in the 88 World Series against arguably one of the top 5 closers in MLB history. Guess what, that swing was a contact swing. Just trying like hell to put the ball in play. It’s one of the most iconic moments in WS history. So to complain about contact swinging is laughable

Do you remember Kirk Gibson??? Contact swing is over powered, don’t defend it. An also don’t assume my age, because I was watching the game. But keep suckling from SDS t/t, you and others are why they won’t fix a [censored] thing unless it cost them money. This game is a broken nightmare, it’s RS slowly approaching 20 status . But hey I’ve been playing video games since the Atari, so I guess I wouldn’t know trash over a good product

They have never said that contact swing is an issue they are looking at. Just because it is the pet peeve of some doesn't make it something that they will fix.

If they do decide to do something then it is probably much more complicated than the other issues you mentioned. Contact swing exists in every game mode, not just online, and it does not need changed in any other mode.

If they do decide to do something then it is probably much more complicated than the other issues you mentioned. Contact swing exists in every game mode, not just online, and it does not need changed in any other mode.
I don't have a horse in this race, but in the past they've explicitly stated that pitch speeds were different between online and offline. So they could very well nerf contact for one but not the other

Could be, but just because one system has been separated out doesn't mean that they all have.

It IS an issue they’re looking at; just taking a really long time finding the issue for whatever reason (priority, complexity, etc)

A normal swing is a contact swing. Your standard approach and swing. The power swing is a different approach. Swinging harder than normal to hit a HR.

In RL:A contact swing is a shortened/compact swing with the intent for max contact on any pitch thrown in any zone over the plate (max plate coverage).
A power swing is a longer/full swing with the intent for max power on a specific pitch thrown in a specific zone over the plate (minimal plate coverage).
A normal swing is basically combination of the two.
Note: For the same reason that some contact swings result in great exit velo, is why some power swings result in little exit velo --- physics.

Contact swing is OP in every single game mode. RS, BR, events, moments, vs CPU. So yes it needs chamge in every single mode.
