Playing players like Cabera and his 100mph sinkers and 102mph FB in All Star and i can barely see the ball not alone try and hit it!
I do agree that Contact Swing is a joke, ive resorted to using it myself just to compete.
Yeah between pin point being way too OP and contact swing ruining hitting and pitching at the same time this [censored] game is a joke right now.
Pinpoint is not OP. There are more people using zen than people think. I am really good with pinpoint and could only hit the strike zone line a few times with Maddux who has 99 control and I was trying with perfect pitches. Maybe 4 times in 3 innings or so. Yet, people can dot this with less than 80 control constantly including Chapman and his stellar 40 control. Zen is a problem.
I hit the line all the time and I wouldn't say I'm an expert at it.
With crappy control pitches and pitchers? What view and do you have trail or classic? Like I said, I can hit some with Maddux but people are doing it consistently.

99 MPH Cutters
101 MPH Sinkers
Perfect, Perfect Pop ups
HR with no PCI coverageThis is game is broken trash. And every update makes it worse. Just about need a big league contract to even hit above 799 in Ranked Season. You’re getting more and more out of control with these super pitchers every year. Corbin Burnes couldn’t touch 98 on his best day, yet he’s throwing a 98 mph cutter with a 82 mph slider. It’s laughable. 102 looks like 202 with the boosted pitch speed settings. Game isn’t even enjoyable anymore unless it’s your pro streamer who plays 24/7. Oh and now you have hackers on your servers using boosting software to make perfect perfect swings and pitch release now. So there’s that too. get your [censored] together SDS
Sorry, but last year MLB20 was by far the worst, ever.

Yeah, I use guys like Edward Cabrera and such and have no issues. I use whatever the default view for pitching is and classic

A couple of years ago there was no perfect/perfect. Just good/good that you would get pop ups and no home runs on. So SDS introduced perfect/perfect as well as good/good. Perfect/perfect was supposed to be at the very least a base hit. But they just pulled the classic bait and switch. Same [censored] they just call it something different. SDS are truly disgusting as far as a gaming company goes. They just lie to cover up thier inability to properly code a baseball game. More poeple need to get up in there [censored] constantly...like to the point of harassment...but not quite.
At no point was perfect/perfect ever supposed to at least always be a hit. They were very clear with that from the beginning. There are so many legitimate things to point to in criticizing SDS, but it seems most people want to either stretch the truth or straight up lie because I guess if they don't they feel their point isn't valid enough?
Every perfect/perfect is not to be a home run but they were supposed to be much better than good/good. Perfect/perfect was supposed to be at least a base hit. It’s effing perfect perfect. This was just classic lies from SDS. If SDS is talking...then they are lieing.

I understand that no matter how well you square up a baseball you aren't guaranteed a hit, IN REAL LIFE.
However, this is a video game. And with the introduction of PPP and the ability to now hit the corners and edges on every pitch, not just perfect release pitches. Then a perfect perfect should be rewarded more often than not. or pitching accuracy needs to be nerfed to match the rng mess that hitting is.

Yeah if you like yackkng way off the plate pitches for bombs. I have a higher batting average on seeing eye singles than perfect perfects. Meanwhile my opponent looks like Mendoza, until some rando outside and 8 inches below the zone pitch gets pulled 480 for a bomb. Or they hit 6 broken bat Texas leaguers in a row… or they hit a slider 8 inches inside for a bomb. Straight jokes not ever close to realistic feedback

You aren't a .250 P/P hitter. By you saying probably it's obvious you haven't tracked it. It is a hit more time then it is not. I encourage you to actually track it say over 100 or so perfects and get back to me.
Perfect/perfect outs stand out more because our brains tell us this isn't right, so we remember it. Who remembers a P/P single? I sure don't because I expect to get a hit. It makes it seem like it happens much more often than it does.
(Also I have no idea what P/P is supposed to be, also it was supposed to be .800 last year, SDS hasn't been clear if that still holds true in 21 (Though I still know you are batting higher then .250). That is something that SDS needs to be more transparent about. They have such a problem with transparency.

The problem is that it still doesn’t reward feedback hitting. You cry about contact hitters, when honestly contact should be the normal swing. The real problem is all the outside th zone hits and bombs that happen. I think the current contact swing should be the normal swing, the tru contact swing should be a 2 strike approach. The current normal swing is cheeks. And these bombs 10inces off the zone or plate are stupid. Way more stupid than contact swing

I went back and looked at your gamelog (if you don't know, it shows P/P and the outcomes in everyone's gamelog.
Skipping over CPU games and just looking at online play, in the last 20 P/P (Which isn't a great sample size, but enough to get a general sense.)
The results are 13 for 20, which is only .650 which surprises me, I thought it'd be higher, but absolutely blows away your .250 number you threw out
(Though I'm not 100% those are online games, it has you listed as CPU, so it could be extra innings where someone is playing your team, I just assume it's a glitch in how it presents, you'll have to let me know)

Perfect pitching input should be rewarded if the batter does not have perfect hitting input.
Perfect batting input should be rewarded if fielder is not placed perfectly…
All taking into account player attributes of course… pitcher, batter, fielder…
So many variables to take into account… no wonder we all can’t agree!

I just want an enjoyable online experience, and this game doesn't appear to be able to provide that. Contact hits, directional hitting, bunt glitches, freezes off, connection lag, pitch speeds, there's just to much going on. Add to that ppp and you just can't enjoy yourself.
-
Hitting the ball hard for an out is probably the least fun thing about baseball, and they put that in the game for the sake of realism, while also allowing lots of unrealistic nonsense like pinpoint pitching, pci coverage of the entire strike zone, random bunt outcomes, random stolen base outcomes, R2 pausing, perfect timing foul balls, etc etc
Either make it fun or make it realistic. Lately this game is a half measure of both.

Again, this statement is false, SDS never made that claim. They never once said a P/P was going to at least be a hit everytime
Im fine with almost everything the way it is. I just don't like how OP ppp is. In real life the best of the best pitchers don't hit corners all game every game. And on this game pitchers with sub 70 control never miss.
