A couple of years ago there was no perfect/perfect. Just good/good that you would get pop ups and no home runs on. So SDS introduced perfect/perfect as well as good/good. Perfect/perfect was supposed to be at the very least a base hit. But they just pulled the classic bait and switch. Same [censored] they just call it something different. SDS are truly disgusting as far as a gaming company goes. They just lie to cover up thier inability to properly code a baseball game. More poeple need to get up in there [censored] constantly...like to the point of harassment...but not quite.
At no point was perfect/perfect ever supposed to at least always be a hit. They were very clear with that from the beginning. There are so many legitimate things to point to in criticizing SDS, but it seems most people want to either stretch the truth or straight up lie because I guess if they don't they feel their point isn't valid enough?
Yeah but it’s supposed to be .800 average. I’m batting a higher average on broken bat hits. I’m probably a a 250 perfect perfect hitter

You aren't a .250 P/P hitter. By you saying probably it's obvious you haven't tracked it. It is a hit more time then it is not. I encourage you to actually track it say over 100 or so perfects and get back to me.
Perfect/perfect outs stand out more because our brains tell us this isn't right, so we remember it. Who remembers a P/P single? I sure don't because I expect to get a hit. It makes it seem like it happens much more often than it does.
(Also I have no idea what P/P is supposed to be, also it was supposed to be .800 last year, SDS hasn't been clear if that still holds true in 21 (Though I still know you are batting higher then .250). That is something that SDS needs to be more transparent about. They have such a problem with transparency.

The problem is that it still doesn’t reward feedback hitting. You cry about contact hitters, when honestly contact should be the normal swing. The real problem is all the outside th zone hits and bombs that happen. I think the current contact swing should be the normal swing, the tru contact swing should be a 2 strike approach. The current normal swing is cheeks. And these bombs 10inces off the zone or plate are stupid. Way more stupid than contact swing

I went back and looked at your gamelog (if you don't know, it shows P/P and the outcomes in everyone's gamelog.
Skipping over CPU games and just looking at online play, in the last 20 P/P (Which isn't a great sample size, but enough to get a general sense.)
The results are 13 for 20, which is only .650 which surprises me, I thought it'd be higher, but absolutely blows away your .250 number you threw out
(Though I'm not 100% those are online games, it has you listed as CPU, so it could be extra innings where someone is playing your team, I just assume it's a glitch in how it presents, you'll have to let me know)

Every perfect/perfect is not to be a home run but they were supposed to be much better than good/good. Perfect/perfect was supposed to be at least a base hit. It’s effing perfect perfect. This was just classic lies from SDS. If SDS is talking...then they are lieing.
Again, this statement is false, SDS never made that claim. They never once said a P/P was going to at least be a hit everytime
I understand that no matter how well you square up a baseball you aren't guaranteed a hit, IN REAL LIFE.
However, this is a video game. And with the introduction of PPP and the ability to now hit the corners and edges on every pitch, not just perfect release pitches. Then a perfect perfect should be rewarded more often than not. or pitching accuracy needs to be nerfed to match the rng mess that hitting is.
Perfect pitching input should be rewarded if the batter does not have perfect hitting input.
Perfect batting input should be rewarded if fielder is not placed perfectly…
All taking into account player attributes of course… pitcher, batter, fielder…
So many variables to take into account… no wonder we all can’t agree!

Def an overcorrection from where pitching input basically didn't matter last year. It'd be nice to settle somewhere in the middle.

I just want an enjoyable online experience, and this game doesn't appear to be able to provide that. Contact hits, directional hitting, bunt glitches, freezes off, connection lag, pitch speeds, there's just to much going on. Add to that ppp and you just can't enjoy yourself.

Hitting the ball hard for an out is probably the least fun thing about baseball, and they put that in the game for the sake of realism, while also allowing lots of unrealistic nonsense like pinpoint pitching, pci coverage of the entire strike zone, random bunt outcomes, random stolen base outcomes, R2 pausing, perfect timing foul balls, etc etc
Either make it fun or make it realistic. Lately this game is a half measure of both.

I really just want PCI to mean something especially on HOF it’s hard enough to make consistent good contact. Especially when you are facing Cliff Lee/Gavine/Burns... etc every single game. It’s really annoying when you’re in a pitchers duel and put a good timed swing with the ball in the pci but not dead center and its the same result as a early/late swing with the ball out of the PCI.
Just to build on this but at this point in the year the pitchers all generally have really high H/9 & HR/9. Pretty much PCIs are pea-sized and there is almost no forgiveness on PCI placement - anything other than perfect placement results in "okay" (flyball) contact. Combine that with fielders with very high fielding stats which keep balls from getting through the infield of falling in the outfield, and you end up with a game with low BABIP and pretty much limited to HRs.
-
Tell me you're trash at the game.....Without telling me you're trash at the game.....

This game is [censored] between contact swinging and pinpoint everyone is a tony Gwynn hitter or a Greg Maddux dot throwerr

Between the complete random hitting, lack of hitting (HoF), Sinkers that move 4 feet and 102s that dominate, LAG servers... its a great game

Very good point. PPP should be nerfed if they want to keep this “realistic” and not purely competitive. And dotting the corner 95% of the time is not realistic.

Of course you hit pop ups even if it’s perfect timing it depends on where it is in the zone and where your PCI placement is. Kinda like real baseball. Just cause it’s perfect doesn’t mean anything. Baseball is a sport of failure. Strike out 7 out of 10 times you’re a hall of famer

It’s both, real bad luck and the fact that he’s hitting them directly at the fielders. It’s not like his SO percentage is any higher than a normal year for him he just keeps hitting at’em balls.
