I’m sure over time, ppp will get tweaked due to all the folks complaining that it’s too hard to hit now. Then there will be a season of gravity balls followed by an uproar that pitching has been nerfed too much.

Then SDS will invent a NEW mechanic for pitching that will be guaranteed perfect perfect pitching, and the whole cycle will begin all over.

At some point they got to retire all these stale modes that are only really good modes...but not top-secret great like Pinpoint Pitching. Wink..wink.

Guess no one is supposed to notice the circular reasoning.

Doubtful pinpoint is the first pitching mechanism change in atleast 5 years probably longer I remember switching to pulse from meter around 2015

I'm trying to sort out why suddenly there is this big "sell" on Pinpoint Pitching. It's coming from every angle.

Does SDS, like, send out a memo to the gatekeepers to push certain products.

    I could see it:

"Dear Gatekeepers, Due to the fact our development team put a lot of work into Pinpoint Pitching we would like you to amp up the posts that promote it. Use all marketing strategies and multiple profiles to get the word out. Suggest some players are really mad because it's overpowered and exploits batter weaknesses.

If that psycho-babble manipulation fails, just use the traditional strategy of telling everyone that pitching is dominating this year due to the introduction of Pinpoint Pitching and layer on a bunch of zany technical terms that make the lemmings fall in line and salute.

    Thanks, your buddy Ramone"

I’d love to hear your thoughts on 9/11, the corona virus, and the assault on the capitol

The biggest catalyst is, likely, when you've got nothing really new and innovative to offer to a sports game..besides updated rosters..you implement some "new-fangled" control input.

If a company doesn't have at least a couple gimmicks each year they don't get as much of the return customer purchases.

SDS did have stadium-creator this year that, although, it's relatively primitive right now (relatively speaking) might spark some interest when it's a little more polished.

They really need to work on RTTS. It's got about all the interest, excitement, and playability as circa 70's Pong. I think that could truly be a flagship if they would completely rebuild with a concentration on immersion. Throw in more variables than "Manager wants everyone to work on fielding..those skills will be doubled during the next series". I'm sure they were reaching for something with the podcasts. But you have to have more personality and variables directly involving your player.

I would really like to see them flesh that out, but DD appears to be the cash-cow so prob ain't gonna happen.

It goes way further than that actually; my mandatory request to join the pinpoint pitching advocates came right from Elon Musk himself. It appears he owns some stock in SDS, and SDS called in a chit.

It was great knowing you all, after sending this message I am sure to be shot by the tall dark-clothed bouncer-looking type guy who has been following me since the start of May. It's weird he showed up after Elon messaged me, but enough is enough with Pure Analog I suppose.

I still use meter. Just because all the YouTube guys use Pinpoint and Analog before that doesn't mean you gotta. Been a pretty decent pitcher for years now, no reason to change. Now my hitting on the other hand...

Who the heck is Elon Musk. Does he code for SDS?
