Did you see that video of him literally stealing a base? I could do that easily. It just sticks into the ground with a little post. I could probably pick it up and put it down again 10 times in one minute. I don't see others getting 10 steals a minute.
*Note: I was the starting Left Fielding in 86' on my 6 and under tee-ball team. If it wasn't for the knee injury, I'd be an All-Star.

I only ever played catcher for little league kids as a coach. And a few times in practice at college. Rickey didn’t even seem that fast and a lot of bases he barely got in before the tag. He has a career 81% steal success rate.which means he’s been hosed out plenty of times. If I had 20 chances back in the day against prime Rickey, I know I could’ve gotten him once.
I wonder how many major league catchers also thought something like this and than Rickey stole 3 bases on them that day lmao

Even easier. With my peak athletic build, intellect and how fresh I am from not playing the sport for many years, I got him. Also I’ve never really played catcher so I don’t got them catcher knees. I can pop up quick. He’s toast

Hey guys, sorry for the long post here.
Update: A new kid moved into the duplex across the street from me, his name is....RICKEY! Pretty great opportunity to scientifically study my hypothesis that as a tee-ball left fielder at age 6, I can still throw Rickey out trying to steal second. So I waited until his parents weren't home, knocked on the door, told him I had some candy for him, and off we went.
We don't have an actual baseball diamond where I live, but I was able to secure two dried cow patties and place them exactly 60 kilometers apart in an open field. After having to physical restrain the kid (He tried running away), I used my gun as a starter pistol, and as soon as I shot I threw the ball to second patty. I had absolutely no issues throwing him out (he was on the ground crying, asking for mom, etc. etc. etc., typical "I was abducted by a stranger" BS).
In conclusion, the guy who watched a youtube video and can get a hit against MLB pitching is totally correct. Let's stop making fun of him, we all owe him (and Rickey from across the street) an apology.
