Why No Shohei SDS?

I think it’s so Lame that you can’t use Ohtani in this years MLB the Show as DH or in the Lineup, unless your playing in a National League park and only if he’s pitching.
Last year was the complete opposite, you could use him in the Lineup, but you couldn’t use him to pitch.Like cmon SDS how do you not incorporate Shohei Ohtani in the game as a two way player??..Especially how meaningful he is as a hitter.
Dude has 10 HR’s this year, SMH..I don’t even wana use AngeLs online for this exact reason, it should be patched out so we can hit with Shohei @Collin_SDS_PSN @Victor_SDS_PSN @Pat_SDS_MLBTS Can someone please explain why it’s like this in this years game???

Just use him in the outfield or pitch with him.

Not sure which card you're using but the diamond from the April POTM program can be used in the field or as a DH. Hell you can pinch hit for your pitcher with him and keep him in the game to pitch.

Yea only in a National League park, the point is he’s not able to be used as a Two way player, the guy Literally plays almost everyday in the 2 hole as DH, even when he’s on the bump.
I shouldn’t have to hope I’m playing somebody with a National League team just to have him bat in the Lineup and only for as long he is still pitching, after that u have to take him out.now u gotta PH for someone from 1-4 spot in the Lineup every time his AB would come up. It’s just ridiculous, i just don’t get how they can’t fix it to where he can be used the way he supposed to, even if he’s the only two way player in the whole game.
Would it be that difficult? I’d Love to hear San Diego Sport’s reasoning and response! -

I couldnt pitch with his potm card after bringing him as a PH. It said position player on the mound and couldnt exit out without bringing in a pitcher.

I’d like to clarify I think the OP is talking about online rated, not DD. In online rated, when you are using him to pitch you can always have in in your hitting lineup as well. If you are in an AL park with a DH, just start someone terrible at 1B you don’t mind not using for the whole game and put him in the spot you want Ohtani to hit (2nd or what have you). At DH put who you want to be your first baseman (Walsh probably). Then when the game starts do a defensive sub and move your DH to 1B. It will get rid of the DH and Ohtani will move into that spot in the order.

Yea that’s true but 4 times out of 5 if he’s not pitching you can’t do that and use him....LoL it’s just an inconvenience ... Like why wouldn’t they make him a 2 way player in the game with them knowing very well 1. He’s popular, 2. The Dude can straight Rake and 3. He’s the only 2 way player in the game(besides Shogo)... i just don’t get it, I’m sure it wouldn’t be that hard for them to patch it.

Yea at the time though he wasn’t in game ShoGo……..And Ohtani only Leads the Major Leagues in Homeruns!!! (31) and they still haven’t addressed why we can’t use him in Lineup as DH or why they they won’t fix this…not one response…but they’ll answer posts about TV.s FPS and HDR …a Complete Joke!!!
