I think mostly people like to just bring up issues to see if it is something that is widespread, or isolated. Yes you are gonna have a select few who create threads just to gripe, but that is just the way of the World now. People have it so good now any little thing that doesnt go their way is a big deal to therm. We are a World of spoiled brats now. Makes me glad I am a little older.

    Okay boomer.

No offense to those that try to maintain some integrity and honesty.

But I've never experienced a forum so full of $tih.

IMO a gaming forum is a great option to pop in and get a legitimate answer to some specific question that just isn't addressed anywhere else. Maybe stimulate some positive conversation.

But this...folks complaining about everything under the sun. Probably justified on many levels. Ppl compaining because other ppl are complaining. Folks that just want to argue about other's btch and profess that the game is great despite all the reports that indicate it really isn't.

Newbies that, imo, are what legitimate instructional forums are designed for...that get ridiculed and flamed by idiots. "Git Gud" is just so worn out AND pretty out of place in an online game like The Show that doesn't reward practice or anything related to Getting Better. It's a glorified roulette wheel that sometimes you hit Black..sometimes Red. Through very little skill or controller input.

Then all the people that post silly things like.."I just pulled my second Trout". Which, maybe they did, but more likely they have some agenda to plant the seed in the gullible's heads that "Buy packs and get Trout. I did". Whether they did or not is beside the point.

But, sometimes it is pretty funny to read the posts from the manipulative. A break from the contrived and pretty predictably unpredictable DD gameplay. Rock On!!

I actually agree with most of this.

I’ll bite, I’ll add to the tirade. What I don’t get is that this is a moderated forum created by SDS for community conversation. While most posts are just complaints, occasionally there’s a few that are helpful, and some that are just head scratchers.

There is a consistency throughout though, trolls and wannabes. There are at least a dozen or more people who add zero to the community, post after post after post after post of negative comments offering not a single shred of decency, courtesy, or help. How are they not removed? SDS is quick to pull posts that are too toxic or go too far in complaining against the company, but yet allow a few members to continue to be toxic for the community.

Years ago, they were quick to ban people, and while it may have gone too far, the pendulum has swung too far the other way. I remember the days of SDS being involved in conversations on a daily basis, in a very good and exciting way, but they’ve allowed the toxicity to grow and fester and are now unable to join in on fun conversations and playful taunting.

I know, I know, I’m a grumpy old man now, but I still have hope. Hope that at some point the bitching and whining and toxicity can be countered with a community of helpfulness and insight, as well as the occasional taunting and bravado. One can dream can’t he?

The trout part I agree with. What is the point in posting it? To brag about getting him?

This place really is an awful forum. When I need a question answered, I go to Reddit.

I’m just on here to watch things burn.

This is the spot for kids whose parents won’t let them use Reddit or parents that don’t know what Reddit is.
