Haven't had that issue but a similar issue where one of my perks I have equipped on one archetype will disappear/not let me equip it in another archetype.
For instance if I have a gold archetype with diamond power, contact and fielding perks equipped. If I switch to a silver archetype (which only allows 2 perks) it auto equips power and contact but the diamond fielding perk is missing if I go to switch it out. Not sure if this was fixed yesterday.
I did finally get some archetype progress counted in RTTS. I was a SS both in DD and RTTS which sounds like it may be a requirement for some ppl to count progress (having same position in both) but I can't confirm that. -
Just finished March to October, won the World Series and nothing was earned towards Team Affinity LOL this is lame.

I have had team affinity and plenty of xp not count. I just bought a boss off the market in case I don’t make it. I could have bought something else I wanted.

Hey Colin - Why ignore all questions about RTTS and Ballplayer issues? Just keep ignoring and not responding like it does not exist?In RTTS, my ballplayer is continually assigned as a Catcher in the lineup. Good. What is up with this?? Why would SDS make you do all this? You need to call the CIA to figure this mystery out. Sometimes, the ballplayer is an 82 gold, Diamond archetype (Mago), base screen shows a 78 SS, additional detail shows Catcher and SP as secondary, and DD does show SS primary.
Has anyone figured out how to get this thing as a high level Catcher in DD? I am doing this BS RTTS just to get my player bumped higher. Why would then even make it this hard to get the position right??????
I am an adult and a long time vet of this game. I cannot figure this out. SDS pretends there is no issue. Won't even say "We are looking into it". If adults and vets can't figure this out, you think kids will? No, they will probably give up and go play COD. Nice job, SDS!!!
Sounds like user error in ballplayer menu. And i'm not saying that in a mean way, i'm saying it literally sounds like you are missing a step somewhere. My player transfer has been seamless.
I'd really like to help if you would like to list the steps you take?

My game now crashes everytime I try to play Rtts...I already lost my franchise because of an auto save bug. I'm sick of starting over.

Log in.... my RTTS player has an overall of 68 (Woot - up 5 from yesterday somehow)
Go to pre-match screen.... Nope. Same player - same loadout and archetypes - I'm now back to 63.
I was 63 when I started a marathon game session yesterday. Playing each of over 100 games.
I was 63 at the end of it. Despite hitting at over 400 and being darn good in defence..
I'm also still a 2B when I go to Diamond Dynasty. My player is not 2B - not even as a secondary position. Now it says I'm out of position at CF(which is what my player is) because (apparently - according to the games messed up view of what's going on) I'm a 2B

Sam happens to me.
My overall changes and my position changes between the logon preview of my player and the pre match set up of my player.
Suddenly i'm a 2B?
I've never created a 2B with different skills.
Where did the game get that from? -
Deleted my progress
There is either something wrong with my save or something wrong with the game.
(I did have two saves (both with my name - i.e the same name) wondering if the game is getting confused or something?
I'm going to give it one more go. Both saves deleted. If I get no-where today I'm uninstalling.
2 weeks of this BS and I've had enough of this,. Going back to MLB The Show 20.

Ok deleted both saves. Go to set up a ball player.
There is already one there (checked - I have no save games)
He is a second base (why? - I never created a second base player has my look and loadout.
I exit the game using a hard reset. I don't want the game to save this guy. I DO NOT want to play 2B and check Settings > Data > Saves again.
Nope. No saves for this character. No RTTS player saves at all (and RTTS is the only mode I play)
This "phantom" player I've never used has more progress to begin with than either of the players I created?Feels like this "phantom" player is getting the XP and advancement I should be earning. The player I'm using is stuck. This guy starts with 5 more overall points than I ever had. But he is in the wrong position. A position I never created a player at.
Sorry for spamming this thread. Wanted to keep people up with what was going on in some details to give the devs a chance to fix it. Needed to provide details of the problems and post them. Probably wasting my time but worth a go.

So the game was updated/patched, yet the RTTS archetype progression is still not tracking, some absolute [censored]. Why say you fixed something when clearly you didn't lmaooo

Actually you can start a new game save at another position(Press and Hold Square in the main menu over the RTTS Option). But you are forced to keep the name, build and you keep all your precedent player's attributes...
Which means you'll probably start a career as a 80 ov+ 18 years old playing double AA Ball... I know it's weird...
This year RTTS is so Broken... They took all the realism away on purpose... The loadouts are a really great idea for DD but are making RTTS the worst career simulation of any sports game I've ever played... Go to the RTTS section of the forum... It's filled with angry customer's that want their game fixed or their money back...
As for me since that game has been so over hyped and has so poorly delivered, it's my last Pre-ordered game from SDS...
They want Stub Money and DD player's provide that so basically the rest of the game is broken on purpose so we're all going to DD... It's either on purpose or it's the worst series of bad design decisions I've seen in any sports game I've ever owned...
That's why I asked @collin_sds_MLBTS 3 simple questions wich I hope to get answered since on the RTTS page there's no feedback from SDS and they haven't responded to my questions in the feedback I submitted a week ago...

I hate when people make assumptions about calling RTTS a money grab. If it's a money grab then answer two simple questions. Why didn't they allow architypes to be sellable? And why do they have so many positions available per architype?
Looks to me if it was a money grab they couldv'e made it to where you can't reuse equipment per created position? Or have 0 secondary positions.
Stop spreading rumors!!!
For the Reccord, you can go to the Community Market, select Equipment & Perks and buy cards to add to your loadouts...
Like I said, Ballplayer is a great idea for DD but its implementation broke RTTS and it's frustrating when you spend 100$ on a game only to find out that it's so broken...
Bring back RTTS from TheShow20, Keep Ballplayer for DD, solve the server issues and you got a mighty fine game! A game I'd play gladly until 2022 release.
Sounds simple but, knowing a thing or two about software development, I know it takes lot of effort to do... That's why I asked if it's gonna be solved or not...
Simple as that...
If they fix it, I'll enjoy the game. If they don't, I'll play a few conquest/March to October and then shelve the game and play RTTS on TheShow20. One thing for sure though, next year I wont pre-order and I'll come back here to read the feedback before making a buying decision.

Colin...there is a bug that is costing players hundreds of thousands in stubs. The Quick Sell button is broken. I submitted a bug with the video. There are two issues.

The other, more important bug is that it says sell for xyz amount .... that then goes to 5 stubs. Players are losing a ton of stubs due to this bug.

I thought about the quick sell bug a little more, and this bug actually could get SDS in legal trouble. The quick sell bug constitutes the definition of negligence and is tied into possible financial transactions (people buying more stubs due to an error in the game). This is a broken product w/o a remedy for the user ....and that introduces potential legal issues for SDS.
This isn't like other bugs, and is far more serious and it needs to be fixed ASAP and remedy the issue for those affected or it leaves SDS legally vulnerable. Every recorded video fo the bug is evidence the would be admissible in court.
SDS...please fix this bug by the end of the weekend and compensate the affected users (as I know you can do this in your backend database). You can see affected users in your database transaction logs.

Everyone do not do the sell now option from within the packs right now its broken and it quicksells your player. Ive lost multiple diamonds before I caught what was happening.

There’s no user error for me. I have one player - the default. One load out. There’s nothing to skip or make an error on. I have been playing this game for years. There’s some sort of glitch with how they wanted the player to play in two modes (DD and RTTS). It’s not matching. My player shows SS, catcher, and SP. 82 gold and 65 bronze, depending on RTTS and DD. It’s bizarre.

Ok you are not willing to talk through it to see if it's possible you made a slight error ok, have a great day! For the record mine works as intended i have same game.
