I thought not being able to play due to servers crashing was bad, I just learned that we will not be able to go back and do Conquest, Showdown, Moments, etc for 1st Inning credit once the Inning is over. I do not have time in my life to play the game all day every day, and have always counted on being able to go back and finish certain aspects of an Inning after it ended. More disappointment piles up for me and this game franchise. I would never have purchased the game had I known this. I do not recall SDS mentioning this before the game came out.
Are we sure that SDS has not become an EA affiliate? This is the kind of nonsense that has lost EA their reputation.
Yeah this is a deal breaker for me personally and I probably will not be going to buy another mlbts. It's slowly taking steps into EA territory and I don't buy EA games anymore haven't since 2018.
EA is the absolute worst. I've been pushing the show on Muthead because of how awesome SDS is and how they are the exact opposite of EA. Sad to see SDS becoming more like EA.

All bosses last year were available in the 11th inning program so of u didnt get them early in the cycle u could still earn them later.
I like the idea of expiration on inning programs, it help hold the bosses value and make the honus collection more difficult this year for people who dont start early.
I play less than 8 hours a week (about 2 hours a night, 3-5 times a week if im lucky) i have no problem getting thru programs.
Im only about 6 hours in this year and already have 150k xp even with laggy servers kicking me constantly. At this rate i should be done with a week to spare.I never liked that people who pick this game up discounted in a couple months can just catch up in a couple weeks and be equal to someone who grinded for months.
Not everything can be fair to everyone and i dont think this is going to really hold to many people back in a couple months. The only thing it makes harder is the ultimate collection but it should be really difficult and especially if u dont start early in the cycle.
Still tons of good free cards available without inning bosses so its really not much of a money grab just a way to increase value and rarity of some of these cards. Innings bosses shouldnt be a 3 hour freebie they should be difficult to earnThe only people who want it to be harder are those that have time to collect all of the cards and do not want others to be able to. Rather selfish. It was plenty hard enough to get Mantle last year. Now, for people who actually work and have a family, it is impossible. I haven't even mentioned that the servers go offline during the hours that I do have to play. I have not even had the opportunity to try to finish anything. I will give you that it might be better when the servers actually work, but right now they prevent me from playing at all. Then the inning will vanish. Lovely.

I have kids, a family, full time job and only play casually and still have time to complete an inning program. It can be done, but its not easy and thats the way it should be. The best cards in this game should be very difficult to get and should take alot of time.
For those who cant play a ton there are still tons of ways to make a competitive and fun team but shouldn't just be gifted the top cards, they should take time earn.

I agree. Getting closer to the garbage that is 2k everyday.
I’m disappointed in the game. I bought a PS5 just for the Show and it’s a disaster. The servers are the biggest disappointment.
-
Servers really need a fix. I hope they extend the inning program a bit to make up for it, or extend double xp till the end of program to let people catch up

What have you been focusing your time on to build up that much XP in so little time played?

My only question is...why didn't they mention this BEFORE release?
My only question, what company has ever marketed their game or any product by highlighting the aspects that potential consumers would not like?

Didn't say they had to highlight it...but they reveal and explain the different modes ...so it should of been mentioned

Ive done all the starter conquest maps and 1st inning one, none of the American map or ta ones. The starter ones are super quick and easy.
Then i did a bunch of moments to get giambi, davis, mantle and the daily ones for alomar.
And i finished the 1st inning showdown.Between the 1st inning conquest, showdown and davis collection is almost 100k xp otherewise i haven't really focused on anything in particular just constantly bouncing around. Also have 3 team collections done for ta, nothing special but it seems to add up pretty quick as long as u keep playing but thats the tough part with servers lol

Yea this weekend I plan to bang out some
Conquest maps since I haven’t done that yet. Also have to do the 1st Inning Showdown so those should bump me up. I think I’m ~155K XP, but with a lot more hours invested. -

I think 2k mycareer is very fun, and they nailed the progress system and story integration. RTTS needs to be more like 2k mycareer and ditch the archetype and loadouts and let us add to our attributes with progression points and actually pick our positions!

Conquest and showdown will take u most of way to 300k by the time u get the xp from playing them, those chunks help alot. I think davis is 35k xp for finishing too.
So far ive found showdown and moments get me alot of xp quickly but i havent played enough yet to say its the best way to go.

Do people know that you don’t have to complete every single program the game offers? Last year I missed a couple of innings near the middle because of life and the game being meh, and couldn’t get them back solely from the missions, as they didn’t add up to 300 stars. Every year there are programs I don’t complete because I have to choose where to sink my time, what I want because I don’t have enough time to do all of them. Nobody is owed to have access to everything whether the gate is time, skill, limited offer. Grow up.
-
The sad thing is, the stars were directly in connection with xp last year, what makes it so tough this year is the ratio of what we get. Last year the showdown gave 100 stars which was 30% of the 300 needed. Now it gives you 35k xp which is 10% of the 350 k needed. Things like this just tick me off.

Those videos are pure marketing, especially this year since the "streams" were all just pre-recorded videos.

If you take XP to stars from gameplay last year it was 1 star every 2000XP. 300 stars=600k XP. Just because the 1 time boosts aren't as good doesn't mean it's harder to get the inning bosses. They actually want you to play the game this year instead of just doing the bare minimum for stars and getting to the boss

Anyone that saids its easy to finish things on here is insane! I have a job! 8 hrs mon to Friday! If u want to play h2h and get to world series that is 9 inning games that take min 40 mins or more to play 1 game !! 1 game let that sink in. So how does one play a ton of h2h! Grind showdown? Moments? Flip cards on a slow market ? Events? And so much more all on a ticking clock ? Each thing we do has most a month to finish it. U know how fast that goes by if u try to do some of those things! Battle royal takes time. It all takes time. So yes first inning should always be allowed to work at it. In my opinion
-
Let's be real here, Ultimate Team modes are all designed the same. You have to give something to get something. You can put in the time, the money, or a combination of the two.
To request the game be catered to your specific lifestyle and time constraints is a bit ridiculous. It you don't have the time, money, or combination of both to get what you want that's unfortunately a you problem.
You can accept it and enjoy what you can get out of it, or find another hobby that doesn't frustrate you so much. I've accepted that as an adult in his 30's with three kids, job, extra curricular activities, etc. I am not the target demographic for the game. With that said I'm almost to 300k XP and enjoying the game so far.

bingo....becuase they knew the backlash they would get if they did. this was a surprise just like the awful RTTS theyre trying to shove down our throat
