This take ain’t it, saying they don’t care is like saying EA is a good company. They clearly care, it just isn’t as easy as you think it is to fix server issues. Be patient.
With all due respect, where is your evidence that they clearly care? I'm not seeing it.
I mean, they brought a good baseball game to the console you play on. For free might I add, and you’re still complaining?
It's not free. Dear lord, people today have a weird definition of free. People that subscribe to that "service" pay money. Therefore it isn't free.
It's like saying I get all these channels for free! Despite paying a monthly bill.
Anyways, SDS is a very good studio. Yes their communication is poor.
Okay, it's not "free" but if you only wanted to play The Show, I think $10 a month is a pittance when the majority of us have spent much more just going out to a fast-food joint.

I agree with your overall POV but at lot of this frustration could be mildly alleviated with a side acknowledgment by them that they are aware, working on it, and hope to have a resolution soon - maybe even an estimated timeline.
PR 101. Even a college intern know this.
I mean, they truly don’t owe any of us anything.
I have to disagree friend. They owe us a game that is playable. No more no less...
They didn’t make you buy the game.
We found the government employee.
Or, you found someone who understands that making a game on a new console is going to have it’s issues
You just need to quit, this has become laughable at this point.

Its definitely not free, and really Sony should have offered the same deal to PSN customers, one of the reasons I went with a series X over a PS5, Microsoft offers more to their consumers
From what I can tell, Game Pass is pretty much essential. So yeah, maybe it's not literally free, but it's about as close as you could get. I don't see the point of owning an Xbox if you're not taking advantage of Game Pass.
I have a PS5 and Series S, I want to own my games and not have it tied to some service where they can add games that you may not like and remove games that you like.
Well said. Same. Funny thing is. All of the Xbox fans praise that service. Yet PS Now has more downloadable PS4 games than game Pass has totally. PS Now, same price, over 1000 games. And no one mentions this for some reason.

They didn’t make you buy the game.
Just to understand your position here: You believe SDS is not owed to provide a functioning game to buyers after inducing them to buy said game with the understanding it works?
But they did provide a functioning game, because it has a variety of offline modes that function perfectly fine regardless of the servers. Don't like those modes? That's fine, but they're in no way obligated to provide a game that caters to your specific likes and dislikes.
Millions of people buy this game every year and many of them could care less about diamond dynasty, so it's not all about you.
From what's been said RTTS doesn't work offline either because it's been linked to DD. Apparently MTO has issues with it as well. Beyond connectivity, looks like RTTS has bugs in the gameplay as well. So really, that just leaves franchise and play now. I guess HRD offline as well. Practice mode.
Unfortunately, this isn't about simply a matter of likes and dislikes. One could take the stance that the game boots to the menu screen, thus it is functional. One could argue that if the developers never intended these modes to work, it is functioning as intended, and thus functional. What you're missing is that these game modes, specifically, Online Play/Ranked (not DD), RTTS, and DD are all heavily marketed as a big selling feature of the game, and demonstrably so given that pre-order bonuses are specific to these game modes. This is even more apparent when one goes through @MLBTheShow on twitter, the official game account, who's content is heavily centered around promoting content specific to DD.
So no, having franchise and HRD working with RTTS and DD not functioning is not "a functional game". This is a highly disingenuous argument, and is completely dependent on intentionally limiting the definition of "functioning" to the absolute bare minimum.

I’m not one of these people that complain about every little thing SDS related but this is really bad take.
Online modes are part of the game and probably the most popular feature. The game was sold with that being part of it. Of course they’re obligated to provide that experience.
If Chevy sells you a Silverado that doesn’t run, should I be like, “Don’t get mad. They’re under no obligation to provide you a truck that moves. There’s plenty of other modes and uses for this truck. The radio works and the windows roll down.”?

That's why they pushed the start date back a month to accommodate this larger release, but still they fail. At least dont charge for "early access" especially when you can barely play the game. It's a d&ck move on their part
Did any of you consider the fact that they were making the game during a raging PANDEMIC? They studio is already lesser than 2K’s or EA’s and you want to [censored] on them for this? Seriously?
Nice take dude. Did you know it’s been like this every year since the Show went online. A pandemic is no excuse.

"They don't care..."
I'm sorry but this is one of the most idiotic, knee-[censored] "prisoner of the moment" threads I've ever seen on here. The game released on eight different machines and also for the first time on Xbox, let alone for what is essentially free on Game Pass. It's fine to be upset. Honestly, you should be. But to say that "SDS doesn't care" when they have shown to go above and beyond for their customers and fanbase is just bogus. Give your head a shake, OP.
Thank you.

Hi Everyone,
I didn't intend for people to be fired up at each other. I was upset with the situation and the game but it wasn't my intention to spark up a crazy back and forth. I agree with needing patience. It is certainly something I work on.
Have a great night.

Don't ever put EA and SDS together. LoL. EA might be the worst company in the US and that is not just tech company but all companies. With that said, the server issues have forced me to go back to playing MUT. To me that is where Sds screwed up. You had a captive audience on release and the gameplay is solid but people can't access the game. Therefore pushing people away to other games.

Yes they do. They owe us a working game.
Once again. You chose to buy the game. Games sometimes are down. Bitching and moaning about it doesn’t solve anything.
Employers must love you. Because if something doesn't work you paid for it's not on the consumer. If you bought a new car and it wouldn't start until an undetermined time. That would be ok with you?
