I also do not have the option to unlink my account through the in game route and I can't unlink my accounts on theshow.com it goes through the loop everyone is talking about.

It's wild how for all those users it works like a charm but then there are a handful of us that UNLINK just isn't in the cards. How is that possible? How if we're playing the same game on the same consoles do we not all have the same interface?
It's a mystery.

I can’t count how many times I have unlinked my account. At the moment I do not even have access to my original MLB The show account. I get an error logging in. I can only access the forums via my PSN or Xbox Gamertag. And like many of you have noted. These accounts are “connected” to one another. What’s frustrating is that I literally had all my preorder bonuses and then boom all erased.
Tomorrow’s officially one week of this fiasco.

I don’t know why Kotaku, IGN, Polygon, etc. aren’t covering this. Maybe people should start asking some of the streamers in the community to start saying something. Shine some light on it.

Just logged into my The Show account for shits and giggles and saw this:
The dates don’t really match up, since the last time I played on PS5 with my OG account was Monday evening (19Apr21). I wonder if some accounts just never synced after launch on the 16th and there’s no record? I mean look at the dates on this.

I have hours of playtime and tons of items on my main ps5 account but the second I linked xbox to it I lost everything. Nothing shows on my account on the website either. I contacted SDS and they have been zero help. I keep reading to unlink the account but I can’t find how. I did in game on Xbox and on the site it still says connected. And the site doesn’t offer any option to unlink.. I’m so [censored] frustrated right now. Does anyone know the fix?!

Was just gonna say they ought to put out a statement telling people not to link until its fixed. Kind of messed up we keep getting more and more people falling down our rabbit hole of hell.

Thanks man. Just wanted to know we aren’t forgotten. I think we’re the most disgruntled crowd since we all paid extra and didn’t reap any benefit to that. Hoping it’s fixed soon. I appreciate the update.

This is unacceptable.. the servers are one thing but literally making thousands of people lose hundreds of dollars is another.. I sincerely hope that everyone affected is rewarded for their patience if fixed or reimbursed for every penny if we all truly lost our money.

I've lost everything. This is ridiculous. I keep reading "unlink" comments. There is no "unlink" option anywhere on the theshow.com page showing my Xbox and PS accounts. It only shows they are "connected". When I open the game on my ps4 all my progress and pre order rewards are gone. Everything I've grinded for since open is gone. There is no "unlink" in game on Ps4 for me as well. It only gives me the option to "link accounts" as if this is my first time opening the game.
Come on SDS. You're better than this.

You are correct. There is no unlink.

I just really hope unlinking our PSN accounts with our Xbox accounts actually restores what we lost. It kind of seems like an assumption. Makes sense, but what if we successfully unlink those accounts and our progress/entitlements (preorder, daily doubles, 42 pack(s), gold packs, etc) aren’t returned back.
Ultimately that’s what I want. I want all that I lost to be restored. I have receipts and proof of purchase.
Unlinking means nothing, unless our content is restored.
