MLB gonna be mighty surprised when they find out all 29 other teams require photo ID to pick up tickets at will call.

So MLB decided to punish a Democrat run city full of black people because of a bill passed by a Republican run state ? Big brain move I see.

I’m confident that anybody that is against the new law, hasn’t actually read it themselves. Basically everything in it is logical, and most of it won’t even have a direct impact on voters.

Don’t worry, the mega corporations have the American people’s best interests in mind though.

    Definitely

Context matters. Why the law is the law is important, not just what is the law. Also do I think it's likely MLB was additionally motivated to do this because, well, Atlanta Tomahawk Braves? Probably a little. The Braves press release in response (complete with tomahawk) was terrific. Does anyone really believe the Braves were going to use the All Star Game to highlight equal voting opportunities? Even if yes, the Braves press release pretty much acknowledges they know the law is problematic too. I'm leaning with MLB on this one.

And that's saying something considering how disgusted I was with how the commish office handled the Astros and the really poor comments on the championship trophy.

Will Manfred relinquish his membership to Augusta in solidarity with the voters of Georgia?

    Doubtful.

Wow, I’m dumber for having read that. If I read a second time, blood will pour out of my nose.

So basically, MLB took the game from a city with a majority black population and awarded it to a city of mostly white people, In the name of protesting racism. Makes sense lol

MLB screwed over Companies that invested money knowing the ALL Star game was in Atlanta the expectation it was going to be in Atlanta, Shame on MLB. The Voting Laws have not really changed in Georgia, They are making the voting laws known with the issues they had in the last election. They are not making it harder for anyone to vote. It is one or the few state that have more time to get there votes in. People just do not take time to read the laws from themselves.
