I just watched it in 4k on my ps5, it looked better then on my phone.
The graphical assets and lighting is barely any different from last gen period. Resolution is better with 60fps but I could play at 4K on my pro last year just with lower fps

20 already looks pretty good on PS5 and it's a PS4 game. I'm sure the PS5 version will look good, but to expect it to look leaps and bounds better than what we have already just isn't realistic. We're at a point of diminishing returns.
Some people won't be satisfied until Fernando Tatis Jr. climbs out of the TV to give them a high five...

The 60fps is a huge improvement. I played all year on a Pro and 4k monitor, the game sucked on those settings. Again that wasn't the final product and just a glimpse. I was more concerned if Tatis gorilla glued his hair because it didn't want to move

NBA 2k21 next version looks substantially better than its last gen counterpart and it had less development time than the show so I’m not buying that

I’m not even upset at sds and still getting it on release day. No doubt the graphics had to be held back for cross play and sds doesn’t have the budget of 2k and madden, I just hope we see a good improvement on franchise and presentation or else this years game will be a letdown. Stadium creator is really cool but it’s just a gimmicky thing to me that doesn’t affect core gameplay

Although to be fair, the arenas in NBA 2K are kind of samey. Ballparks are bigger and have more variety and assets to take care of.

All this anti aliasing and Ambient Occlusion and Resolution Scaling and Reshade and Modding and FOV and Ultrawide support is such a terrible thing to have. Let me just put on my "New Gen Console" and play at forced 16:9 and play at the graphical setting some dev decided is best for me.

Interesting twitter thread showing game graphic development over the past 60 years. Given how far we've come, it's gonna be REAL hard to innovate anything and have it seem like a "leaps and bounds" improvement.

I rarely complain and think the gameplay wasn’t trash in last years game that so many like to over exaggerate on but I’m not going to be a blind sheep either and pump out $70 + without pointing out the obvious. I even defended sds when the horde of next gen tech testers were complaining about graphics telling them it was most likely an old build and the graphics would be substantially improved in the final build....I was wrong -
