Pickles are recommended in order to complete the sweet/savory taste and to go one step further, throw in some crispy fried onions and it’ll be an orgasm.

I'm out on the pickles, never been a fan but all over the onion.

The lack of responses would suggest most of these people don't know what a Hoagie is, lol. I've always been a fan of Tavern Ham, Roasted Turkey, lettuce, tomato, onion w/ mayo(usually no cheese). Preferably with a roll from Sarcone's bakery in Philadelphia(miss that place since I live in Virginia now).
