I was trying to disect it because it looks similar. There seems to be two moving parts I can see. The first is the pattern inside the big circle. The second is a white ball on the outer circle that travels around to a dark circle.
My best guess is the user mimicks that pattern with the stick and then releases when the white circle meets the dark circle on the outer ring. So you have two inputs to be judged, the accuracy of the pattern and the timing of your release.

Yeah, if it's two moving parts, one timing and the other replicating the pattern, that'll be ridiculously hard. They'll be like, see you missed your input so it goes wherever. Ha ha
