What are you MOST excited about in 2021?

Now that the news is out, I thought we would see what we are all exited about. With the news of an updated franchise, that excites me. I am also very glad that I can play against my friends on XBOX! What about you?

Starting fresh with a new DD team. Been getting a lot of extra hours at work so I have more money to buy a god squad day 1.

Honestly absolutely nothing ala all sports games it doesn't really matter it's all the same to me whether things get fixed or not it's still baseball and there's no way of improving the core gameplay so it won't make much difference to me. I'm not buying it I was going yo but there honestly is no point to me.
New DD is fun but not worth it to me maybe get it on sale this time next year maybe not.
As someone new to mlb the show it's amazing but after playing it for a few years it's just another game.

Honestly mlb over the last few years has become a non-competitive baseball sim game that does not have the heart pounding edge that most gamers are seeking.
They fooled us last year with “skill matters” and then instead of fixing the issues that were killing the gameplay — like balls being left dead center for no reason - they adjusted the hitting around that nonsense and pretty much reverted back to mlb 19
I don’t see them ever making this game fun. Opening packs and building a great team has become dull.
There is way too much scripting and randomness —
And in my humble opinion allowing directional hitting to be used online destroyed the game. Not so much because “directional hitters are hard to beat” but because zone hitting was nerfed to make directional hitting usable.
The demand to put out a game every year is also hurting their game because they aren’t rebuilding the game - they are just using the same silly old stale code and engine to reissue the game with slight unnoticeable adjustments
The gameplay hasn’t been fixed since 15
I can easily afford the game. And play on a monitor or theater that I have in my memorabilia room if I want and buy every edition. But why should I? It’s just frustration.
2 on 1 out perfect perfect lefty on righty directly to the defense down 1. What else should I do? You can’t out play the algorithims in this game and that seems to be the way they want thier game to play.

They have no competition, so they have no incentive to make things better. People who love baseball will still buy it because it's the only game in town. It's going to take another game produced at a high level, sorry RBI, you just aren't there, yet, to make SDS truly fix what is broken if they want to keep players buying.

Nothing yet. I still plan to buy it as I do every year but none of the news that I have seen has me excited yet. If I do get excited it will be something they show during a live stream.

This. I never played DD until May and didn’t even know what I was doing until Aug and then still wasn’t good. Looking forward to starting anew. I flip like crazy now (even still as I’ve gotten just about every card) so looking forward to that as well.

I still hope we will get some kind of Solo Battles in DD. I think there is not so much to do with your team offline
