Dj horn, stadium sounds

I’m honestly curious. Those of you who used or are still using obnoxious stadium sounds like DJ air horn or whatever, what is the appeal?
Do you really like hearing that sound or are you trying to put your opponent off?
I just don’t get it.

Haha ya I am not crazy about those sounds either. My main issue is that you get to still use them as the road team. I feel that if they are going to use those sounds, they should only be used when you are the home team.

I don’t get the appeal of the stadium sounds. I actually now play with volume off. I actually really like it. When I did have the sound on, the one thing I remember about the airhorn is when you hear it you know it’s probably an win. I don’t ever recall coming across even an above average player that uses. It’s almost always someone who sucks pretty bad.

You think that people would actually factor being able to use pointless sounds as a reason to homehunt? I'm not saying that you're wrong, that just sounds crazy to me.

I mean there are people who play just to troll, so yeah, those types of people would want their obnoxious sounds heard. I doubt it would be to large of a factor in home hunting, but it would certainly increase it by some percentage.

I have never applied any type of stadium sound.
I also play with volume low enough that I rarely if at all hear any of them.

I set my stadium sounds awhile ago, haven't touched them in months, but I do have them on (Not troll ones, but ones I like, forget what I even picked). I do like the addition of them and my opponents stuff don't really bother me all that much

Simple solution. Everybody hears their own chosen sounds in random match-ups, not their opponents. Trolls will be none the wiser and regular people can get on with the game.

Up until the point of your first score in the second, I was thinking it was a pretty fun game, so I was surprised to hear the DJ horn.

It surprised me for sure, and yeah, it did take a bit of the fun out of it for me. Some of those sounds are just SO annoying.

In case you didn’t realize, muting stadium sounds has no effect on your opponent’s settings.
I’m glad that it makes you laugh, but as I said, I find it quite annoying. I’m not a teenager though, what can I say?

When I gave the game to my sons, the first and only rule I gave them was not to f with DJ airhorn if they go online. I'm not raising a couple d bags.

Not at all the same thing, imo.
Being at a ball game in an atmosphere like that is not anything like having a game you purchased for relaxation and entertainment blast annoying sounds not of your choosing.
