I don't understand the whole "who is going to use these cards they aren't end game blah blah blah" either. End game content was 3 months ago. This is (as it should be), filler content to hold off until 21
Bingo, plus with these events we might have an opportunity to actually use them. And last I checked RS has no limits to lineups.

Yeah this event SUUUUCKSS. No one wants either of those 3 cards except for the tards who put in buy orders for both Enos Slaughter and Josh Bell @ 1 million stubs. lol! Why!? Those cards are so horrible (Josh Bell is decent at hitting I guess) why waste a million stubs?
It might not be a waste for Pirates and Carfs fans with tons of stubs and nothing left to purchase.
Nope. Still a waste of stubs @ 1 million. There are soo many other cards out there that you could buy.
I guess you didn't read the part about "nothing left to purchase"?
Exactly.... Some of us have nothing else to spend stubs on... we're just collecting cards. I don't understand the logic that spending a bunch of stubs on these players is dumb but buying Britton is okay... Isn't that exactly the same thing? It's not like Britton or Juan Pierre would suddenly make my team...

I imagined Brooks Robinson to be a reward for pt 2. Eddie Murray would work as well.

The awards don’t change from part 1 to part 2.

Imagine it being January and you're not putting out 99 overall cards. Enos should have been an event award back in March. Sometimes their content structure just makes no sense.

Well there's only about 7 possible 99 cards left. 3 of those being future stars(Adley, Franco, Witt Jr,), 2 of which being previous event rewards for their lower cards(Murray and Brooks), Dale Murphy, and Maybe Robin Roberts(there is no precedent for what SDS would set his overall at.) I agree That Bell was a poor choice, but should have been Stargell instead, who has never been higher than a 97. As I said above, expecting 99s in filler content season is just selfish.

Lol selfish? Its about getting people to play. Nobody wants these cards, in 17 the forever event was 100 wins for a 99 Mike Trout. That's something to play for, not a bench bat, an event specific card, and a card that should of been a spring release.

Besides Adley and Franco there aren't any cards left that will get people to play. That's my point. And it's only the same 10 dudes that beg for those 2 cards anyway. "Endgame" cards and content are over and done with

At this point you just juice up a card. Thoe FS would be perfect for that. Make Wander something ridiculous.

Disagree. Adley could very well be the true endgame Catcher as he's a switch hitter with great defense and depending on the attributes they give him potentially great offense too.

Yea I mean at this point who cares. Unleash as many 99s as possible to keep people playing. If I’m taking a break from the game, 60 wins for a 98 and they advertise slaughter? I’m not coming back

Why not just add 99 Bellinger back in there so that those of us who ran out of time can have another shot at him?
To me, that would make me more inclined to play than Josh Bell.
-
@NCStateHokie said in SDS dropped the ball on this event:
I'm glad they are at least still putting some stuff out.
I agree 100%!!
-
These events have been fun. Gives you the opportunity to mix up your team and play with cards you normally wouldn't use. The fact that they're short games makes it less of a commitment time wise. If you view it from that standpoint, the awards are a bonus. Gotta look at the positives.

I mean this in the nicest way, but that event for Belli ran 3 separate times and for about 10-12 days each time....if you didn’t get him, that’s on you...no way in the world they should offer him again
-
I accept that it’s on me. I only played the last event and came up a couple wins short. Sometimes it’s a better decision to keep plans with a lady than to grind event wins.
