Live roster not as official

have you noticed that Yoshitomo Tsutsugo from the Ray's is not in the game, plus Shogo Akiyama(CIN), Kim Kwang-hyun(STL), Shun Yamaguchi(TOR) it seem they missed out on them maybe a live roster update is coming?

Considering all of those guys have not played an official game in the league, and come from overseas, I'm going to guess that might have something to do with it.

Yea I agree but it was said that minor Leaguers never made the game because they had to play a official MLB game and they change that this year they Signed a contract with the Minors to have all Minors in the game regardless if they played a MLB game or not

They came from overseas, meaning they weren't in the minors, and thus aren't covered by the deal that lets them add minor league players.

I thought I read or saw there never was an actual restriction on the minor league players...was just a major endeavor to get it put in. Could be false, but it sure made it sound like they legally had the rights just didnt have the time or manpower to get it all done accurately

I thought the entire minor league systems for AAA, AA and high A were in the game, I'm still seeing the random names

Have you checked the "random" names? Maybe the dev's are still adding themselves into the rosters also?

Curious to see what will happen with this. While these players played spring training games they will not get to officially play in games for the foreseeable future. Will that mean no Shogo, etc indefinitely?

There is a content patch today. I wonder if we will see a roster update to include more of the minor league players.

being on the roster and playing in a game wasn't the only hold back, there is also some kind of paperwork they have to file first.some kind of legal thing.

When they got Ohtani in, he was going to the LA. Yoshi is in Tampa, so the smaller market isn't as much of a concern. I'm sure they've got plans for him, but they don't even have the consensus #1 prospect in the game, Wander Franco, currently with a prospect card. I'm assuming for that one, they will do something else to add him for a bigger reward.
