Yeah I may or may not have helped a few friends in the past reach WS by playing on their accounts.
Just asking why you do that? Wouldn't you want your friends to actually earn reaching world series? And doesn't that make you look at your friends a certain way that they would be willing to get to WS without actually earning it? I guess I just believe in actually earning what I get.
It’s a video game lol if I had any close friends that played this and needed help getting a certain card, if I had the time I wouldn’t hesitate to help.
Let them enjoy something they normally couldn’t attain themselves
I guess I approach everything in life the same. Whether it's a video game or something in real life, I want to earn it. Personally I believe that letting someone else play for you (unless they are way worse than you) is a clown move but I guess we all have different morals.
If a buddy wants to trade me a bottle for a couple wins in a video game, I'm "earning" that bottle. We all have our price!

Haha that might be the one and only exception (just kidding but that was a good one).

People definitely do pay to carry. Conversely, some people tank their RS records on purpose if BR is their main jam
Lank, I’m so ignorant to BR. What’s the benefit to one’s BR game if they tank their RS record?

No actual benefit, but when your RS record shows on game load, your opponent might underestimate you if it's bad.
People do it, but I don't know if they see better pitches to hit because of it or not.

Lol same here. I like the way this event is where you don’t see their record before you start. Less of a mind fk before you even take your first swing

On the flip side, which may further support your theory, I played a 5-inning event game (he dashboarded on me) against a WS icon + 12-0 banner guy who was striking out a little more often than I would expect. I was very confused.
May have been off, or drinking or something lol.
I consider myself solid at the game and I’ve looked terrible in all star before just being in a slump
Ha.... could definitely be the suds. I know I've played being pretty anebriated and its never worked out well. This is not a game to chill with a sixer.

If I complied with their request, which I may or may not have done, it would be because they asked for help. I don't look at them any differently at all, they want to use a card that they can't buy off the market and they're not good or consistent enough (yet) to make it to WS and they're able to acknowledge this. And let's not pretend that any of this means anything or carries even just an ounce of weight in the grand scheme of things lol. Especially in this terrible year.

Twitch streamers do this all the time with their viewers accounts. It’s absolutely a thing. How prevalent though is anyone’s guess

The end of your post should flash across the screen before every RS game starts. Maybe would be the reminder needed to all the people who base their egos on this game and therefore act like such douches when things don’t go their way...

Tempted to ask you to play on my account, but won't. LOL
