RBI’s aren’t very indicative of how good a player is. If you look at the rest of his stats he was an above average to very good, but not great hitter for his career with the exceptions of 1969-1970 and 1973. He was also unexceptional fielder for his career. His stats are pretty much expected.

RBI’s aren’t very indicative of how good a player is. If you look at the rest of his stats he was an above average to very good, but not great hitter for his career with the exceptions of 1969-1970 and 1973. He was also unexceptional fielder for his career. His stats are pretty much expected.
While I'm not saying that Hanley was not a good ballplayer, he will never sniff the doors of the HOF. That is my argument.

No he has 4 pitches, the ones you mentioned without the changeup. Nobody uses a 2seam effectively so he's basically a 3 pitch pitcher with a slider primary. He's gonna get slapped around hard.
