it would be nice to know what SDS takes into account when deciding who to update and who to ignore. There are a ton of players who have barely been updated all year while we've seen others go from silver to diamond. Just like twitch drops it seems completely random no matter how much you guys argue they aren't. From SDS' own streams which are all generally the same length ive always gotten different number of drops. Honestly, I love this game but I am sick of companies just pulling stuff out of their [censored] and would like some transparency.

I mean, if your parents decide to make that choice, why should SDS argue?

I feel like there is a fine line, I don't think they communicate enough to us now all the factors that go into it, but if it was explained too much, there wouldn't be any guessing or speculating about who is going up or down, and atleast to me, that's part of the fun. I don't know where a good balance would be personally though.

Yah thats true. I should clarify, if they aren't fonna be transparent about things then some consistency would be nice so we can at least look for a pattern instead of this random guy who hit .300 and is a diamond after bad years previously while random player b is in their first or 2nd year killing the ball and isn't even a gold. It seems like the 3 year thing has become a catch all excuse for when they overlook a guy and don't upgrade them.

It seems somewhat arbitrary, the way player OVRs get created/updated.

Why is Luis Robert gold when Kyle Lewis is silver? It seems clearly to be based on hype in the media.

Remember when Vladdy jr debuted as gold?

Marco Gonzales has the highest strike percentage in the league ahead of Kershaw, Darvish, etc. I’m going to have a look next time I’m playing but I’m pretty sure his attributes do not reflect that.

Agreed. Otherwise it would just be a "who got up earliest to buy this card" when investing, imo.
