Over the last three years Hyun-jin Ryu owns an ERA+ of 179. That's 79% better than league average (pretty darn good.)

Below I've compiled a list of all time greats, and a list of live series diamonds in MLB TS. Each legend is accompanied by his respective ERA+ over a three year peak. Each live series diamond is accompanied by his ERA+ over the last three years.

Legends and (ERA+ at 3-year peak)
    Pedro Martinez (246)
    Walter Johnson (219)
    Greg Maddux (219)
    Randy Johnson (188)
    Lefty Grove (184)
    Roger Clemens (180)
    Hyun-jin Ryu (179)
    Pete Alexander (179)
    Christy Mathewson (177)
    Sandy Koufax (176)
    Cy Young (174)
    Bob Gibson (166)
    Tom Seaver (163)
    Charles "Old Hoss" Radbourn (161)
    Curt Schilling (151)
    Tom Glavine (151)
    John Smoltz (144)
    Don Sutton (143)
    Robin Roberts (143)
    The list goes on...

{OVR} Live Series Diamonds and (ERA+ over the last 3 years)
    {94} Jacob DeGrom (191)
    {91} Shane Bieber (139)
    {91} Gerrit Cole (162)
    {90} Justin Verlander (172)

    {88} Clayton Kershaw (145)
    {87} Stephen Strasburg (123)
    {87} Kenta Maeda (111)
    {86} Dinelson Lamet (112)
    {85} Lucas Giolito (97)
    {85} Seth Lugo (138)

and I do like to research you did in getting those stats. I had about 12of him myself. Roster updates are largely crapshoots this year. Colome, the closer for the CWS,has 12 saves, a .084 ERA and .9 something WHIP. I don't think he is even gold. He was a bronze before the update today.

Same thing last year. It took them too long to give him his diamond status. I don't think its a he's not a Padres thing its more like they favor big name big strike out fastball power pitchers.

I'd say he needs to find a better agent, but Scott Boras.

Yeah there had been way too much love for some of the teams for topps now and so many teams don’t get represented. Mets and padres are way too over represented imo. I would like to see some of the lesser teams get some love instead of 3 or 4 from two teams.

IMO it doesn't matter how poorly he pitched today. An upgrade was loooooong overdue.
