Thank you SDS (not sarcastic)

In an otherwise total dog [censored] year, this game has been my escape. I’ve had to work straight through the virus as an essential worker and the stress and anxiety of finding out someone you work closely with got a positive test is impossible to understate. I haven’t seen my friends or family in person since February. Through it all I’ve sunk literally days of my life into this game and despite the RS rage fits and hanging changeups it is just so much frickin fun. I look forward to the Inning program live streams literally for days to find out who the new bosses are. I get excited like a 12 year old (I’m 31) when they release cards of my favorite players. I’ve got a stacked team and haven’t spent a dime since I bought the game.
I know you folks at SDS read these posts sometimes and I hope you read this one. I’m sure it’s been challenging for you guys to adapt to working in 2020 and not being able to use the office and working from home. Despite the toxicity on these forums, you guys are doing a great job. Please fix the pitching, but otherwise, you guys rock.

First off thank you the front line workers are hero's in my opinion, this has been the toughest year that I've lived through. (I'm 33) it just seems like everyday it's something else.
I agree with you about MLB 2020, it's been one of the things that has kept me sane though this. I know it's got it's problems (pitching/fielding) but at the end of the day it can be a relaxing thing to look forward to after a hard day of work. I love the fact that there is so many players to chose from this year (I loved the Walker addition this year) I also haven't spent anything and I don't have to with all the content that we have seen.
I mostly just wanted to say thanks.

I second this, been a [censored] year and this game has been a nice escape for sure

100% agree, for all the different issues that have popped up with the game, it would have been a way more miserable time without it, definitely kept me sane for awhile.

You said it, Bro Vaughn. This game isn’t perfect but it’s been a great diversion. It’s the only game I have played since March 13, and I doubt that’ll change until MLB21 comes out. I’ve played this game just about every single day for the last 5 months and and it’s made this year much easier.
Thanks, SDS. Now go get the rights to Josh Gibson and Carlton Fisk so 21 can be even better.

I agree, thanks guys for giving some escape from reality. You guys did a great job, also sorry for being an idiot and talking trash during 2018.
-
Yep I totally get it. 2020 has been awful. I’m an essential worker and have had to expose myself to the Covid for a while. I had hip replacement in March and I’m having another surgery tomorrow on my elbow. I’ve taken 3 Covid test this month alone. All negative thankfully. If I didn’t have this game even with all its shortcomings I would have gone crazy by now. Baseball will always be “my” National Pastime

Great post, I completely agree. Thank you for spreading positivity and thank you SDS for your help us get through this tough year.

Well said! Couldn’t agree more

Totally agree. Great escape indeed.
