I have the 7th Inning boss pack sitting in my unopened pack section.
Is Walter Johnson any good online?
He gave me fits in the showdown, but we all know online play is different.I don't need Harper as I have Walker in right. I also have Thames as a left handed bench bat (Musial as well).
Same thing for Frank. I have Babe at first and I have tons of 1b eligible players for backup/bench bats. -

He isn’t, trust Jack. He is like Nolan Ryan, doesn’t have a pitch like a slider or cutter. Easy to just sit fastball and react change/curve

He was pretty easy to pick up on the 1 inning I played against him. I have a way worse time with Hal. Could have been my opponent tho

Interesting, I’ve only faced him in event twice and lit him up both times, the lack of horizontal movement is a tad concerning

I think if everyone used him like Kluber and Paxton, we'd all get used to his effortless looking delivery, but since he isn't going to be used as much as those guys, you can probably have decent success with him

I have had success with him as well. On hall of fame in ranked seasons. On all star in the event he is buns like every pitcher on all star. He's worth a shot. Frank and harper are both bench bats. There are tons if bench bats this year. 100k on the bench isn't worth it. Try johnson out. If you play on hall of fame you might like him. He has better control than ryan.

Good point , but even guys like Orel are tough to read on all star ,any pitcher that doesn't have vertical as well as horizontal movement is fairly easy to predict imo.

I picked him up and hope that the next inning bosses are good so I can make Stubbs off of him, because he seems to be the least popular of the three

He is really good if you can spot your locations and mix in the curve... huge speed differential. Seems very effective for the first 6 innings

Not a joke, do you have any idea/advice on how to spot your pitches for a sustained period of time in this game?!? If so I’d (almost) pay you to share you’re secret because I’ve become resigned to simply trying to “Paint the Quadrants”....so far mix results but figure just hoping for less middle of the plate moneyballs regardless

Pulse pitching, as long as you have good timing, the ball goes exactly where the circle says it will. On occasion a high sinker will dip a bit, but I've only had that issue with Maddux. I've played almost 1,000 RS games on my main account, ERA still below 2.

have not tried in RS, but have vs CPU and friends and would not use in RS based off that experience.
