Also regardless of the whole fastball/curveball the last thing I'll say in defense of the feedback is some guys swings do ot don't generate much power regardless of their stats. Mondesi hits bombs because of his quick swing while Posey has great stats against lefties but he barely hits it out of the infield

Of course you can crush a curveball but im saying a fastball jumps off the bat more. I'm not trying to sound condescending here im just asking, have you ever played baseball?

yes. played through college. And again I agree that a fastball will generate a little more exit velo if you square it up sure but it really isn't as important as you may think. Found this article to be pretty interesting.

That article was definitely an interesting read but I would be interested in seeing a study of guys that dont have insane power already and their exit velocities on fastballs compared to breaking pitches. Definitely changing my opinion a little after reading that tho as far as faster pitch=harder hit

Yeah, it was definitely interesting. And again not to harp on the issue, but it was Jeff Bagwell hitting for me. He's got a little pop.

    1- It's a video game
2- I love Bagwell too. He rakes
3- You realize that you might have rolled the lowest possible number on a P/P velo off a low curve? It's entirely possible.
    4- See #1

All valid points. however, the point of said video game when hitting is to get the PCI as close to perfect as you can. which in this case I feel like I did. Ah well.

I'm saying you generate more power off of a fastball and also get better results with a perfect swing so yes to me there is nothing wrong with that. You can have your opinion that the game cheated you thats cool but in my opinion with the things that are actually bad in the game there is nothing wrong with that feedback

I have to disagree with this. Stanton hit a rocket off of Jamie Moyer years ago in Miami. Moyer's fastball is a changeup for most pitchers. I think Stanton's exit velo was over 110MPH. It's just RNG taking over on this at bat.

This game is hot garbage, good good means jack sh$t. Hell perfect perfect aren’t guaranteed hits, but be early or late and your golden. This should be called MLB Rarly or late show

Not the intent of my post.... It was Bagwell who squared up a ball almost perfectly and the Exit velo was 93 mph...... You don't see anything wrong with that??? like at all ?

Yeah, i had FotF McGriff hit a perfect perfect fly that resulted in 98mph exit Velocity in Showdown. How does a card with 98 power hit only 98mph with perfect perfect. Sometimes with this game things are just not hit hard no matter what

User input barely matters in this game. I've had a Perfect Perfect swing on a 101 mph fastball from Chapman, near the top of the zone, with Sig Series Paul Konerko and it had an exit Velo of 90 something that died in centerfield. In real life, no matter the power they have (we're talking grown major league ball players), a ball thrown that hard and squared will have high exit velo. Period. there is no defense.

Also in the real MLB, players who dont have light tower power that square a pitch perfectly routinely go above 110 exit velo. You can hardly do that with HRD Stanton on this game
