FOTF Schmidt
-
The little I’ve played h2h with him his power seems more like 65 than 120. Don’t understand how I can hit a perfect ball and it doesn’t even go to the track. Anyone else experiencing this? I’m DeGrom and Scherzer away from Mantle so thinking of maybe selling him.
-
I’ve actually always had good luck with previous Schmidt cards but this one seems nerfed to me. My swing timing is good and decent pci placement as well? Hate to give up the D at 3rd but wouldn’t mind getting closer to Mantle
-
I sold mine. He underperformed for me, and Killebrew kills it.
-
As much as I'm really trying to like Schmidt he's under performed for me too, however the D at 3rd is so good I keep giving him chances thinking he might turn around.
-
That's because the card art is missing his stache.
That was always the secret to his power. -
I dont understand why he has no pop in his bat. Even when I get a hold of one he doesn't hit home runs
-
He hits his share of HRs for me in Conquest, but none of them are the majestic shots you would expect to see with his numbers. Definitely feels underpowered. That defense though....
-
George Brett has been my better card between Schmidt and Killebrew

He’s been great for me. .1400 OPS in 200 PA, mostly on HoF. Makes 2-5 diving stops a game too.
-
He crushes the low ball, like irl..look low and kill baseballs
-
Every card is different for everyone. I personally can't hit Schmidt with him.

I see what you did there.

Kris Bryant is the truth at 3b. Brett isnt bad either.

i did a little experiment where i picked the four 3rd basemen in the market rated 99 and i subtracted 26 points from all attributes that can reach 125. i kept the defensive ratings even but i did include their actual speed and bunts.
matthews - 61
brett -61
killebrew - 66
schmidt - 63you might be asking why did i subtract their 26 from their attributes? because these 125 maxed ratings obscure the actual overall ratings of the players. some players could have an overall of 105, 112, etc but it maxes out at 99 so i subtracted 26. im sure most of you thought about this but i will continue figuring out who out of the 99's is actually the best because they are not all even.

There’s a site that does this with an actual algorithm. It shows that some 95s have stats of a 92 etc.
