Me: Perfect-Perfect = out, Good-Good = Out, Okay-Good =Out, Just late-Good= Out, Good-Good= Hit
Him: Late-Okay=Hit, Okay-Okay= HR, Okay-Good=Hit, Perfect-Perfect= Hit, Okay-Okay= Out
Playing BR, I noted these hits. You can't tell me the game is skill based when its completely randomized by the script.
I should have loaded up on Weiters and Sandoval. Their prices already jumped back up.

How does everyone feel about having a couple junk throwers in their pen so it's not all straight gas? I've got Franco, and Gagne for a different look than Wagner/McGee and Dibble/Henke. Fingers is the best of both worlds though.
Those junk pitchers are great when used at the right time. Francos screwball, for example, can take a few at bats to pick up. By then you've got yourself through an inning late in the game.
That's been the case for me, anyway.

This game is more for skilled players and exposes the weak. So let the weak fall
The game breaks down to mathematical equations and dice rolls, and takes control away from players. This is far from a skill based game.

The mathematical equations are unavoidable. Even if outcomes are 100% input, the maths is required. The dice rolls are up for debate however.

True, you cant avoid the mathematical equations aspect, but the dice rolls aren't debateable. Pitching is a game of pain the tail on the donkey, the player does not have any reasonable expectation of where the ball will end up.
Hitting is random. One game in slapping good-goods and even prefects right at defenders, the next I'm hitting okay's in the gaps and winning. It's not player control.
What a ranked debut I just had with Hershiser. 8 shut out innings with a solo blast to left field off Kluber.
I have RS games that are wide open, high scoring slug fests. Then I'll play a 2-1 game where nobody can hit.
I understand that's how baseball goes, but its obvious there is some sort of algorithm deciding outcomes which is a no-no for a video game.
I lost 5k, no regrets for a 1:4 chance at making 20k
I'm a much bigger NFL fan, but you can't even call Madden a football game, because it doesn't play like football if Tres Way is the best QB in the game and nobody passes. It's sort of a rugby/football hybrid game with an NFL skin.
I've been playing baseball games since I was a little kid in the 90s, never threw a perfect game before. I had to share it somewhere with someone who would understand the fun, so here it is.
The guy had a good team and some high value cards so it wasnt a meaningless game either. Kluber the mlb the show goat! Good in every edition of the game.
I got there, but I had to buy Tatis with the last stub sale.
What do the color lights indicate?
I usually do mini seasons. I'll take the guaranteed stubs and a shot at pulling something from a pack, You only need 16 or 17 wins to make the playoffs, once I hit that number I start and quit the rest of the games to get through as fast as possible. If you play on rookie it's easy to get 7 runs without even trying, and that's a good amount of xp
I use my cap at catcher. 120 contact/122 power with 80 speed and 97 arm. Don't think you will ever do better than that.
Its just a game who cares
The 2nd pack doesnt seem worth it unless you've already beaten everything else out now
I usually only play every other year or two. I can't understand how people play sports games all year and restart and repeat constantly.
Im still enjoying it. I played 20 nonstop during the pandemic, didn't play a single inning of 21. Then 22 felt fresh again.
Vida Blue as always.
Same position, Acuna just shot up 80k
