Lol you whiffing at Burnes as well and only perfect was by opponent

You’re my favorite poster on this forum- lol no cap

Admittedly I was whiffing at the cutter and slider in, but I didnt get a homerun on one of those.

And if you could see the amount of good hits that died at the track theres just no way I should have lost that game. He left a lot of cutters up and over the plate that should have been hits.

People who think there should be no negative feedback are so cute.

Do me a favor go to YouTube watch a video by Mcgunski or Kyle or cbrev or any of the content creators

Watch how many balls they hit and runs they score then come back and tell me the game doesn’t work

Is it 100% perfect- of course not

You may be over estimating how good you are at the game

They only show their wins dude. They lose plenty of games. They hate the game too and complain as much as anyone. I've also seen Kyle get blooped to death and hit straight liners to outfielders for a loss before. Idk what you think you've proven by saying this lol. And I don't think I'm over estimating. I still have a great W-L record but at least half of my losses were clearly forced like Kyles

idk why people defend the game so hard. It has good bones but it's clearly in a very bad state. Everyone knows it. Needs a community uprising like Madden had to get them to fix this junk. If you defend this game you're the problem imo.

You have no clue what you’re talking about, Kyle def doesn’t just show when he wins and if you look at his record he wins wayyyy more than he’s lost, same goes for any of the content creators ie mcgunski, cbrev, pitching rebel or whomever

The fact that you thought a good point to back your claim is to say “well look at Kyle he’s lost before” just kinda confirms what I said in the 1st place. You guys aren’t realistic in expectations

And again not once did I say the game was 100% perfect- we still have freeze offs, some people complain about servers

But like I said if you watch any good player play, they have absolutely no problem hitting the ball and hitting home runs- is every single hit how they want it to be- of course not but majority of the time when they take good swings the ball is being put in play

What is your record? What’s your rating 500’s 600’s 700’s?

[censored]. Kyle mainly posts wins, but when he loses he just gets blooped to death and the game wont give him a solid hit on a good swing. Dudes obviously good at the game but he gets screwed too.

I'm like 41-10. Currently 700s but I just stopped playing the game. I would say half of those Ls were complete bs. I've had some Ws and Ls against people clearly good at the game. I'm just not going to farther waste my time on a broken game. My record isnt the issue here.

The gatekeeping in this community is gross. Criticism about Madden, Fifa, and 2k has become the norm. But anytime somebody criticizes the show theres a parade of crybabies wanting to protect it.

He just proved my point by posting that box score. The difference in this game was an early swing on a curveball out of the zone. That's not something to defend the game. If hes whiffing at the curveball all game he shouldn't be rewarded by whiffing at the curveball early.

Admittedly I was whiffing at the cutter and slider in, but I didnt get a homerun on one of those.

@darkblue1876_PSN said in Is it better to suck at the game?:

Is it better to suck at the game? Well it certainly hasn't resulted in anything positive for me. I am easily among the worst online, and I routinely get matched up against guys that are 200 games over .500 with lineups full of guys with .400 avg 80 HR and get stuck facing Ryan or Degrom every single time.

Then when I get those rare moments where I get a lead either my opponent instantly quits, or the AI decides "darkblue rally stinks, so we will start gifting this other guy hits so he wins." I will then start having pitches despite perfect release point start going all over the place, resulting in a couple of gift walks, forcing me to go further into the zone and sure enough, BAM! Towering, no doubt 400 foot bomb for the other guy.

    Exactly.

I'm finding it harder and harder to manufacture runs too. Like, after I get a couple good hits in a row and guys on base NOTHING will drop even if its timed well, in the zone, and in the PCI. The game doesnt want a rally.

And if one team gets ahead THEN the hits will start coming to even up the game.

Lol at the people defending the game in here. Its obviously broken.

[censored] this game man. My opponent who is whiffing at Greinke curveballs the entire game gets rewarded with 2 early swing HRs. My good timing swings in the PCI are just popups. Oh and a perfect swing foul ball HR.

    Nah seriously [censored] that.

No one cares for your plight LOL Not sure why people come on here to complain that they lost a game HAHA

I'm complaining that the game sucks balls.

If anything that box score proves my point. Game had to force a 2-1 game with 6 hits on each side. He had one good swing then entire game. The other HR came on an early swing on the curveball. Dude was swinging out of his shoes the whole game.

Too bad they dont record good hits because that would tell the whole story. I'll take the strike outside when I'm getting solid hits every inning. He wasnt.

And my perfect foul ball came in another game.

Idk why yourendefending this game bro. It sucks and everyone knows it.

    Nah [censored] this game.

Just let us play the game. No need to dictate the outcomes. I'd rather lose 75-46 to an opponent on every pitch than this junk

    75-46 lol wrong sport

Missing the point. But if youd rather the game force outcomes in the spirit of the game I think that's crazy.

  • You cant tell me this game isnt broken at times
  • MFundercover_PSNM MFundercover_PSN

I don't get it. I play a game and everything I hit is a bomb until the other guy quits. Then I hop in to another game, I'm still seeing the ball well and making good swings and it feels like an excruciating uphill battle for every base. Then I go in to the next game and hit everything.

  • You cant tell me this game isnt broken at times
  • MFundercover_PSNM MFundercover_PSN

    Yeah I lost.

Theres no way the game wasnt forcing a loss here.

My opponent gets a broken bat bloop hit with one out. Then he hits a soft routine grounder to Utley and it eats him up. Then he hits a homerun.

Over the next 3 innings I square up on 4 balls that die at the track. Perfect-perfect liners going straight to outfielders.

He bloops one to right, steals 2nd, then another broken bat hit scores him.

I'm just done I quit. GeT bEtTeR

  • How slow is too slow?
  • MFundercover_PSNM MFundercover_PSN

Mid to low 50s is the cutoff for where I feel like they can get around the bases. And if their speed is that low they better be very good at hitting to make my lineup (frank thomas)

  • Why did skill and execution matter more 10 years ago?

All sports games have gone this way unfortunately. I miss the days when the better player could win by 100 and the computer wouldn't put a stop to it.

  • How do I improve my pitching?
  • MFundercover_PSNM MFundercover_PSN

It's a game of chess. You need to know what your opponent expects you to throw, what pitches he wants to hit, and which ones hes afraid of. And change your locations/pitch choice every couple innings to keep it unpredictable. If your pitcher gets in trouble pull him in most cases. Use your 5th starter as a long reliever.

Just saw that just over 32k people have Randy at P1, which should give you a good idea of how many people have it done. A lot.

So since he’s available in BR, P1 not the metric I use….I think P2 works as a better reference. Still have BR people, but not on the same scale.

I think I was like 1500 to get him to P1 and that was only through 1 early BR run.

Ahh makes sense, didnt think about br

  • MFundercover_PSNM MFundercover_PSN

If you're just starting out the future stars 95 cards are probably a good cheap way to build your first competitive squad.

If you go online you will still get mowed down by Randy Johnson.

Your opponents are playing the same game. They have the same problems you have with the game.

You can get screwed some times, but if you're constantly losing it's a you problem.

  • Fell down 6-0 and won.
  • MFundercover_PSNM MFundercover_PSN

I'm 20-0 ranked this year. One of my games I fell behind 6-1 after [censored] up and giving up a grand slam in the 4th. I chipped my way back in it and walked it off in the bottom of the 10th with a bomb to right with Yelich.

The old me would have rage quit, or played the rest of the game mad and threw my controller. When I gave up the grand slam I was just like "Lol" and kept playing.

Not a brag post, point being when I truly stopped caring I started winning a lot of games.
