Right, why do we need a 98 Hershiser when we have an 84 gold. #Sarcasm.
Outside of a few exceptions like John Smoltz, barely any of the players we got were versions of new diamonds.

I think it depends on the card, great cards like Hersh will hold value much longer then mediocre guys like Catfish Hunter
