Orel reviews?

Working on Dodgers stage 3. Anyone have him yet? Looks solid across the board

He is pretty nasty to use from the time I used him during the stage 3 west showdown. I also faced him vs cpu and could read him pretty easily. I'd think online he would be pretty solid. From the pitches I threw they all break a ton!

Ultra nasty - always has been one of the best in the game even with low diamond cards. This years card is ridiculous, if you know how to use it

Yup. My fav. Low inside sinkers, high inside cutters, low away changeups, curves and fastball mixed in. So hard to square up

How is he in relation to Lodolo? Feels like that's a good comp since they don't throw hard.

 Thats a good thing for me in the past my only problem with him was he didn’t have horizontal pitch.  the slider is one of my favorite pitches in the game it’s a huge get out pitch .

I'm a bit curious if he'd be any good at AS level (I'll find out soon though) but he should be nasty at higher levels. His slider and changeup have decent stats too they aren't just filler pitches, in the hands of a smart player he should be good.

I seen this on reddit, has reviews for Orel and most of the other cards. Seems like almost everyone loves Orel. Glad I picked him up.

I faced him last night he shut me down for 6 inns with a runner on Panda hit inside high sinker 2 run shot. Dude quit

Haha....good point, I didn't think about that. This one is set up on a tee for him, in sure the home run from him is coming.

Just faced him. I was rated 745 and my opponent was rated 744. I mention this because I think it was on HOF? Can't remember the tiers for difficulty levels.

Ripped 7 hits and 5 runs off him in 6 innings before he got pulled. I went yard off him with Kaline (whose a beast btw) and Sandberg. I ended up still losing to him because I used Graterol (whose an absolute b u m imo). Don't think I'll be pitching with him again, gave him so many chances but he has major control issues which is absolutely ridiculous as if the game doesn't already give you enough with all the forced pitches over the middle of the plate.

Bottomline, however, you have to use Orel yourself to formulate your own assessment. I consistently find that some players are good with certain cards while others are not with that same card.

Just used him for the first time.. he was filthy!!

He doesn’t spit. No spitball. (I was in high school 18 years ago. But my wife swears I am now.)

He’s good, I’ve always liked Orel.

Showdown nothing to go by but I am passing absolutely crushed him.

Do NOT collect Orel. Trust me. Orel is filthy fun when you’re just messing around casually in BR. But once you commit to locking him down, the excitement is gone.

Orel is usually filthy and nasty. That is what people mainly love about it, him. Lots of downward movement. Can easily go down 6-12 in.
