Can’t pull the trigger

So, I think if I sold all my non live series cards and all my duplicates, I think I’d have enough to complete the live series collection. I just can’t do it. I thought I wanted Mantle, but I just don’t know if it’s worth it. I almost wonder if I should wait and see what the Honus type collection is. I will definitely only be able to do one or the other. I also like just seeing all of my stubs sitting there. I know it’s ridiculous but I can’t help it.

You’ll earn more stubs. Mantle is great man.

Play however you want to play. Personally last year was my first year, and I had NO SHOT at getting Mays and I was playing into October. Right now, Cole, Verlander, Trout all that left for me. I could get mantle and suck with him. But that’s what I wanna do. OF is loaded. If you’re good with certain cards, you can do whatever you want unless you feel completing collections is fulfilling

The problem with selling now is those golds are useless, most are quick sell value, better off holding out for a bit until the market recovers.

Think about it this way. If you finish the collection now you’ll be free to spend your stubs how you want after. That’s what I’ve done, and it’s nice to have all the free stubs

Thanks for all the advice. I would like Mantle; however, I would have to sell literally all my cards including Chipper, Oswalt, and King Felix. If I’m going to pull the trigger, I might wait to see who the next couple inning bosses are. Would anybody have any idea when a Honus type set might drop? Mid summer?

If I remember correctly, and there is a Honus type collection this year, you would need to collect the LS cards to complete it anyhow. Pretty sure that was the case last year. If so, may as well knock out the LS as soon as you can and enjoy Mantle, Sheff, and Biggio.

That’s good to know, being that I would have to sell my live series cards to afford the Honus type set, maybe I’ll just focus on Mantle.

Mantle is definitely worth it. You'll get the other collection rewards along the way as well. Although you'll lock in a ton of stubs, you receive a good amount back in the collection rewards. Even more in XP too

You did not have to collect live series cards for Honus. Granted it may be different this year, but don’t bet on it.

But it was almost impossible to complete the needed collections (BO, Vet, AS etc) for Honus unless you completed the LS collection. Much like this year, we will likely need plenty of Prospects and FS cards to unlock whomever it is this year. TA cards will be key this year.
