This game is so much better than 19 and 18

yea im getting 17 vibes right now. i know alot of people didn't like 17, but i personally liked the gameplay alot. There were issues with hitting but it wasn't gamebreaking. Same with this game. Id say 20>17>19>18

I think different versions are good to different people, because it is subjective. Also, the game is always a work in progress from March -May patch cycle, so it's a little more nuanced than just calling out the difference from year to year.
At launch, this might have been my favorite show ever, due to the good content, good enough online play and new modes I enjoyed like Showdown. Now, eleven patches into the year, I'd say it's still fun but I'd probably take a past iteration over 20.

This basically sums up my exact feelings on 20.

Game plays great, it’s just frustrating to see what I can only interpret as outcome shaping when my fielders pass up routine fielding opportunities enroute to me throwing a perfectly placed meatball to a guy who has been flailing the entire game.

I seriously don’t understand why so many people hate MLB 20? Yes, there are some annoying bugs (OFs fielding fly balls on a short-hop), but overall the game is great. The last patch really fixed a lot of the issues.
I line out more in this game than 19. Rewarded less for good input and spend my pitching time throwing meatballs down the middle of the plate. Never had more than a 3.3 era in rs and I am well over 4. Events are even worse. My RP's can't get through 3 batters. They are tired walking in from the bullpen.
I haven't played PUBG in over a month and all my squad mates haven't either. I am going to play again this week more than likely in solos because this game (even if not caring about RS record) gets frustrating.

Pitches go no where near where i throw them on good input. Good okay in the middle of the PCI still. Good chopped and good popped still occur 100% in the PCI. they increase the timing window and PCI size so now there are more very early and very late fouls on chased balls. Outfielders still do not lock onto the ball or put their glove out on grounders at times. The game is a frustrating grind to the point I cant bring myself to play RS for an hour plus long game of BS.

I agree too but 18 is only down at the bottom due to lack of diversity and souvenirs/exchanges.
Every at the top pretty much has the same lineup in this one too. Cap, Mantle, Biggio, Sandberg, Jackson, Sheffield.
