There have been some versions in the past that were bad (yes, I’m looking at you 18), but hitting has never been THIS unrewarding.
I was a Top 50 player last year, went 12-0 in BR multiple times, and always made WS. But this year’s version is a steaming pile.
I’m just so bummed. This game was so great when it launched. ️
This game plays differently across different modes.
Custom League play is really good, especially on HOF. Events play is pretty good, even though most are on All-Star. Battle Royale plays okay, but can definitely be more random. Ranked Seasons plays horrible. The RNG in this mode is unbelievable.
Now, SDS will come out and say “there’s no difference between modes”, but come on man.
And I’m not even talking about just online play. Offline is playing just as terrible.
It’s amazing how bad this game is right now.
I’ve been playing The Show since 17, and I know what the difficulty levels feel like against the CPU. Showdown (at least the NL East) is on HOF, possibly Legend.

Y’all just don’t see it? The game tried to get me to lose. It knew I was 5 runs away from Lorenzo Cain and it thought it could game the system by not throwing me a strike and having me chase. I’m lucky I went downstairs for a drink and forgot I left showdown running or I would have lost. Shady business by SDS. Smh Look at these fanboys smh

It used to be so hard to adjust to off speed pitches... Now all u have to do is sit fast ball high and have plenty of time to react change or slider They can keep pitch speeds for all I care, there are plenty bigger fish to fry, well documented. They just don't represent the difficulty they say they are, especially showdown from my experience.

The game says Showdown is on Veteran, but that’s a joke. It’s way harder.
My opinion...
It shouldn’t really matter if the high sinker is OP, or if the low changeup is OP, or if the middle fastball is OP, or...
We all know that SOMETHING will be OP, but who cares? Whatever it is, it will be OP for everyone else as well.
The key (to this year, just like it was in each previous year) is to figure out what’s OP, and adapt.
The players that learn how to adapt quickest will benefit the most.
I seriously don’t understand why so many people hate MLB 20? Yes, there are some annoying bugs (OFs fielding fly balls on a short-hop), but overall the game is great. The last patch really fixed a lot of the issues.
OP, I completely agree with you. Especially RS, and it’s an absolute joke of a mode right now.
Not saying I don’t like it, but it feels like the hitting from Legend difficulty of last year.
I love the game this year, though. I’ve been playing since MLB 17, and this is the best version of online play it’s ever had.
Stage 2 moments are locked even after completing everything in Stage 1
My Diamond Power Program (The Duke) isn’t progressing past 19 points earned. Anyone know how to fix this?

Shippett on HOF rn feels like rookie on coors. It’s truly insane how everything leaves in that stadium. PCIs seem massive right now as well. Must just be really good cards playing as they should but it feels off.
I don’t know… my RS ERA is 2.6 and I play all my home games at Shippett
After reading this, I feel much better because my CAP has a screwball and no one has complained about that
For me, it’s Soriano. From an attributes standpoint he is great, but I can’t hit with him to save my life.
I just realized that I don’t have the Rookie Bryce Harper card, even though I’ve completed the Conquest Map. Is anyone else having this issue?

Ranked Seasons Ok and if you are HOF remember them saying if you match up against higher ranked person that would be level u will play on. So it's possible your opponent was WS and that in fact is legend right?

You’re correct in how it works, but no, each time my opponent was in the 700’s. HOF is just hard, lol.
In 2017, Aaron Judge started the year as common and he went Diamond on the last roster update.
