Online etiquette when I suck

I agree with the comment above about getting better by playing stronger opponents. That being said, running through your bullpen can hurt you in games to come.
I try to play it out if I can.

Quitting is fine imo. Just don't dashboard! I can't even begin to understand the type of immaturity it requires to dashboard! Really sucks when it affects a stat or prestige grind.
Dashboarders need to grow up but it ain't gonna happen. I'm certain they have way larger life issues than video game rage.
I think you may have an irrational hate for “dashboarders.” I don’t do it to steal stats from anyone, but why should I wait for you to watch your whole replay when I know I’m going to quit anyways?
-
I have quit before and regretted it. It doesn't feel good. To your point, if I'm down big and I can't hit for the life of me, I'd rather groove fastballs down the middle and get the mercy rule. Then you atleast get the after game rewards still.

So it's faster to kill the app and wait for the whole game to boot again?
Nope.

Lol ya that extra 10 seconds is huge. I think you have an irrational immaturity over a video game.
-
I’ll never be offended if you quit. Saves time, I get the win and my pitchers stamina isn’t used up.
The one thing I do hate is if I’m up in a game and someone requests a friendly quit. If it’s tied and we each have the same number of at bats left, sure. But not if I’m up.

But the people who watch every replay are mature? Come on. If they want to waste time watching every replay, they don’t deserve the stats when I dashboard.

The whole 10 seconds? You must really lose your mind when people don't quick pitch.

^^^You just contradicted yourself..You act like it’s no big deal and that you’re not stealing stats but you just said that you dashboard because you don’t want to wait Until after the homerun to quit just because of an assumption that your opponent will watch a replay before it happens ? And That’s your way of justifying It?

Take the at bats. Practice, practice.

Im the same. If Im getting my [censored] kicked, I say we both move on. I have nothing to gain really. You get the W anyway. Plus I feel less interested in trying to give any effort, but then again maybe playing it out could make me better. I don't know, I'll stick by the quit factor.
You can learn a lot by playing tough competition. If I am clearly out matched I go a couple of innings to see if I can turn it around. After that I will give my opponent the win by mercy rule.
-
I also suck and just started online. Once my opponent starts pouring on I’ll usually quit to let them move on.
Today though I was in a 1-0 game till about the 6th when my opponent hit a grand slam. The way he was pitching plus my level of suckness there was now way I was touching 5 runs. I went to quit but I realized he had a perfect game going. So I stuck it out for him....unfortunately he got the perfect game haha
-
When I actually have enough time to play some RS, I want to maximize my time. If I’m getting smoked by 5-6 runs halfway through, I’m probably going to quit and fire up the next game. It’s good for both of us.
But I’m also surprised how quit people are to quit against me. Going up 2-0 early isn’t much to overcome so I find quitting to be questionable. That said, you never know what’s going on on the other end of the internet. Maybe there’s a crying baby on the other end. Maybe their cat just brought a live bird into the house, like happened to me the other day. Maybe their wife wanted to blow them if they quit. You never know. -
I never quit. If I am getting my [censored] kicked I at least know I can take time away from my opponent, lol.

Scenario to think about... you’re obviously better than me, and are winning like 6-0 after two innings. Would you rather I play out the game and lose big, or just quit and give you the W?
I ask because I’ve quit before (never mid-play... always between innings) because I think good players would rather have a quick W than drag out a boring lob-sided win. I’ve heard the term “rage quit”, but if I do it it’s because I think my opponent would prefer it. Would good players rather me keep playing and win 15-0, or get an easy win after a couple of innings instead?
I usually give it 4-5 runs before I pack it and just admit defeat. I rather just move on to another game than stay getting smoked
-
Isn’t in lopsided? Not lob-sided?

You are crying about 10 seconds when it takes you atleast 3-5 minutes to close the game and restart and get back into another game
-
If you wanna quit and give me the win then be my guest. Even if my moonshot is about to go over the fence and you turn off your PS4, I can take solace in the fact that I made you pissed enough to quit
-
I love when people quit.
