After 7 RS games on AS here are somethings that I would like improved
Pitch accuracy on equilivant of Good/good, when the line is just early or just late of "perfect perfect"
A more accuracte strike zone anything that catches a part of the plate should at least have a 50/50 Chance of being called a strike.
Increased Exit Velocities on Good/good hit lows in the zone as it is almost impossible to hit a HR on pitches at the knees even with 100+ power guys and more often than not it's a lineout or hard ground out
Reduced reaction him for infielder on linedrives or hard hit balls
The removal of pitch confidence as i think it has too much of an effect on gameplay
Reduced Stamina recovery of starter when used out of the pen
This last point you mentioned, I noticed tonight when I brought out Pearson from the pen with his energy 3/4 full. I threw 3 pitches and I got a warning saying he was tired.

The removal of pitch confidence as i think it has too much of an effect on gameplay
getting rid of pitch confidence is the big one. no way should a pitcher's confidence defy all laws of physics like we see in this game.
it's a useless player attribute that only exists to inject RNG into the game.
-
When possible, please address the “bounce off the wall, turn and throw mechanic.” Thank you for your time and efforts.
-
What’s the next patch going to be? Homerun banner and stadium lighting? SDS says they hear the people who pay their salaries and bonus but doesn’t have a clue how to make or fix anything. Please bring in some real Sony programmers.
-
I am a mediocre player. I am enjoying the game. I can hit a little bit now.
-
This patch did nothing. The amount of Good/Okay I get is ridiculous. I had an entire game where every good good was an out. Hitting is beyond repair
-
And eliminate "freeze off" losses once and for all. Totally inexcusable that this is still happening.
-
Can we make it so live series prices are not absurd. I know you need them to get Mantle and that is why the top 7 live series cards are all 100k stubs or more. However, it is almost impossible for someone who does not put money into the game to get all collections done in a timely fashion. Can we put a cap on how much they should go for, because half of these cards are not even used just Trout and every time they do a stub sale you can bet that the price be shot up at least another 20k.
-
I feel like post patch now bad players are hitting a ton of bombs. Probably most of them are directional hitters too. This is how I felt the first month before they fixed hitting. Players with below .500 records are beating me when they havent at all before the patch.
-
In about 35 games post-patch online(12 in Ranked Seasons and the rest events), here is my take on what I've noticed.
-
Perfect-Perfect is no longer a .800 success rate like was talked about in the developer streams. I tracked for five games through ranked, and my perfect-perfects were 5-10. (Last night I lost a game where my opponent hit an HR on P-P, but my P-P with Chipper Jones off of Patrick Corbin was warning track power).
-
Good/Okay is so much more common, with no real understanding of why it is rewarded. I've seen 4 HRs on Good/Okay below 90 mph exit velocity. Yet, Good/Good and Squared up balls are dying consistently in the outfield.
-
Pitching is extremely frustrating. 0-2 count, put the ball (changeup, curveball, etc.)in the dirt hoping for opponent to chase and two things happen... a) they are very early but still somehow make contact for a foul ball. b) you get proper pitching release, and the game decides you didn't want in the dirt, so it hovers up to clip the bottom of the zone, and it's ripped for a hit, HR, or out. It's just frustrating when it feels like the game is deciding for you.
-
I'm not a programmer by any means. However, I'm confused about how the game played so well at launch, and now here we are. I feel like the only thing that needed to be buffed from the get-go was pitching. But instead, you tuned down hitting, which has completely changed the meta of the game. At the beginning, you could get strikeouts, you felt rewarded for your PCI placement, and you were okay with a little randomness with pitching. Now, it's like we're trying to play catch-up with these patches when the only thing needing to be touched was the pitch accuracy slider.
-
Fielders are still not locking onto the ball near the wall, causing random triples/doubles when the ball is only a foot above their head. The homerun banner yet isn't fixed. Eighty-five-speed guys just jog down the first baseline on an infield grounder, and the 45-speed guys make it a closer play on the same groundball.
-
-
Just to mention:
Gold 75 on the XP path contains an error. States one would receive a batter but has a pitcher pack.
-
Pitcher confidence should only really help with location. Other than that, it shouldn’t nerf anyone’s ability to hit.

Notes are here: https://theshow.gg/fcz
Set to deploy on Wednesday 5/13/2020 at 3 AM PT.When are you guys explaining to the community why rewards are so random? Why are there so many bad swings being rewarded and so many good swings being outs? Please show some signs of intelligent life.

Freeze offs have ben in the game for years, nothing can be done about that. Winning or losing just don't exit out the app first & you'll get the W
What a stupid post. Why would you just accept something like this? Also many people don't read these boards or know what a "freeze off" is and have to take multiple losses before realizing that they have to leave their PS4 on for 9 hours.
Since hardwiring my PS4, I've played probably 250 online games this year and last and have had probably 1 freeze off... Never happens.
It's most likely on your end, which makes it even funnier being that you are absolutely ridiculous and off the wall on these forums about thisSame, I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve had a freezeoff in the last 3 years.
I finally hardwired last year and I have only had a few.,

Yeah making pci bigger actually hurting the skilled players. Now it’s so big can’t square up stuff while the [censored] players who never move pci hit bombs now

Alright, I went away and played a bunch of games on the current patch. My impression is that hitting is favoured too heavily over pitching. ERAs are way too high in general and that is a result of a bias toward hitting over pitching, but also a direct result of the amount of home runs, which is excessive at this point. While we do have some hit variety in terms of singles, doubles and triples, home runs are still too prevalent in my opinion.
Pitchers also lose out on check swings which are called balls the majority of the time, regardless of the actual swing outcome. If you fool a guy badly enough for him to start going around like that, you deserve a strike. Pitchers also lose out on marginal calls this year, aside from the odd dot on the very corner, most pitches on the edges that hit the black are consistently called balls. Then you have to deal with the game hanging pitches down the middle of the zone on what is actually reasonably good input on a pitch aimed way outside the zone, which is another negative. There’s also the issue with foul balls. There’s absolutely nowhere you can pitch apparently, without the batter being able to foul the ball off. When you can’t generate a swing and a miss, the AB will continue on and on until such time the batter flies out on a good/okay contact swing, hits a home run or lines the ball directly to a corner infielder. When combined with the check swinging and hanging pitches, you’re at a huge disadvantage as a pitcher and too much is left to chance.
I say this as a terrible hitter, who doesn’t find it easy to hit the ball at all. I don’t think the answer is to keep piling on buffs to aid bad players like myself to hit without improving though. All that does is unbalance the game and make pitching ineffective. The guys who could hit can still hit and the guys who struggle will find new ways to struggle.
Jumbo PCI that can foul off pitches a mile out of the zone, incessant check swing bail outs and ridiculous early swing home runs aren’t the way to go. Also, I’m still seeing a lot of terrible animations, teleporting pitches and general craziness due to severe desync. Is there nothing that can be done to ensure better optimisation? I’ve sent lots of examples already this year, it makes the game look and feel horrendous at times.Overall, I’m still really disappointed with the gameplay and I feel like this will be a year that’s looked back on in a negative light, much like ‘18. I feel like a lot of it is caused by the desync and terrible connections and while this is an issue that affects all P2P online games to a degree, I’ve never known there to be such a degradation in quality of gameplay as a result as there is in this years edition of MLBTS. It’s wild at times, it really is.
Yesterday, I had runners at first and second, there was a pitch in the dirt and the catcher threw to second, where my runner was slowly jogging back to the base (having not been sent anywhere and only being a couple of steps off the bag) to be tagged out. A few days before that, my opponent had runners at first and second, with one out. He laid down a bunt, which I fielded and applied the tag. For some reason he decided to return his runners on the bunt (maybe he thought it was going to be caught, I don’t know). I threw to second for the force out and absolutely nothing. I had to apply a tag to his runner retreating to second to record the final out of the inning. Then there’s the awful tagging animations where they use a sweeping tag instead of a direct tag, the game is a broken circus at times and it looks terrible.I could go on and on and on, but I’d find it hard to believe that anyone at SDS isn’t well aware of the majority of the issues with online play at this point. That’s why I’ve cut back on posting here and discussing the game as much. I don’t believe there is any significant improvement incoming, I’m not sure that’s even possible with the current state of the game and SDS seem to flop from one extreme to the other from patch to patch, with no clear idea of how to balance the game correctly. It’s either no offense and everyone is batting .190 or super juiced offense and everyone has an ERA of 6-8.00. It’s not a good look that nobody has any idea of how to get hitting and pitching balanced correctly halfway through the year. Anyway, as I’ve said, I’m disappointed. I wish I weren’t, I wish I loved the game, but it’s just not in the right place and never has been. We went from too much to too little to too much again. I’m fine with the decision to open the timing windows slightly. The increase in PCI size was a bad idea in my opinion.

I agree with what you said about check swings. I have tried to check swing, and it called a ball. I looked at the replay, and it showed that I had swung. I do like the PCI getting larger, but I get what you mean. I am an OK hitter. I need to get better at the game, not have the game help me.
