Is SDS practicing ageism?

It definitely is faster, I think they shouldn’t lower it, it’s impossible to strike guys out in other games

43 year dad of 5. Mad respect to the senior league idea. Count me in. In all seriousness though, up to 100 mph i can manage but that 102 is a whole different level. Almost impossible for me to hit even if im sitting on it and know its coming. Timing window is way off and the PCI seems alot smaller. Maybe its just me though
-
I find it really depends on the connection quality. Some games it feels like my bat is underwater and I have no chance to hit the fastball even when I think I am right on it. Other games it feels fine.

39 here, make world series most of the time, historically ~ 70% win percentage, but i also struggle with the same issues. I try to make up for it with good pitching and base running. Players who use directional tend to swing early on everything, but directional is lame and takes much less skill than zone

I am 43 but pitch speeds arent an issue. I have had trouble adjusting to the timing window. That seems to be the only thing that has got tougher. But we needed the timing window change. You will eventually get used to it.
Honestly brother, nobody’s getting used to it, because it’s so Inconsistent and varies from game to game. I’ve tried with this game and I’ll still play it (I played ‘18 FFS) but it’s a bust. Too many off key things with the the online gameplay. Fielding is one thing, but if everything else was fine, you’d probably calmly give them time to fix it, even though the same issue was prevalent last year, which kinda makes you roll your eyes. But it’s just....... off in every way somehow.

I am 38 and have the same issues. Seems like ranked seasons is nothing but 1-0 games where the fastball is thrown 150 times. I. Wouldnt day ageism, buy Pitch speed definitely needs to be turned down.

49 and while I'm not great, I can occasionally catch up to those missile speed fastballs. What I don't get, is the timing windows. I can go from too late, to too early on the exact same pitch. Now I know people will say that's human input, and I agree to a certain extent, but I'll be damned if it doesn't feel like I've used the same button timing and gone from one extreme to the other in most cases.

The most frustrating is when you sell out on a fastball and you hear the ball hit the glove before you're swing animation happens.

I'm 35 and I can live with the 4 seam heat, but the sinkers are just stupid. They look like offspeed out of the hand. Whatever it is I can't read it. I actually just turned my PCI because it's too distracting for my old eyes. I'm about to go get my eyes checked out lol.
I want to play 30+ guys only lol. We need a senior circuit.
Hahaha I like your idea of the Senior Circuit. I think we need to start a league

I just wish that offline and online pitch speeds and timing windows were more similar. I can beat any showdown pretty easy, then go the a RS game and strikeout like 10 times, it’s frustrating. I just turned 29 so in the grey area of cool old gamer or maybe a loser haha

Can anybody beat 53? Am I the elder?

Sorry man. I claim two more years of experience than you.

I'm 26 and last year was the first year I ever played DD. I was around high 500's and low 600's all year which I was fine with. I was probably 15 games above .500 on RS. This year I am a couple of games under .500 through about 80 RS games. I have been no hit once, held to 2 or 3 hits multiple times and have no chance at winning unless I hold my opponent under 2 runs. I know I am not great, but it sure would be fun to be competitive again. I actually prefer to play offline, but that is not really possible everyday with only one new conquest map per inning program. I want to play 9 inning games and actually use strategy some which is not happening in this years game. It's all about who can bring in Kluber in the 3rd inning or their reliever who throws 100+.

Well I think I am getting used to it because I stopped playing online for the time being lol. Not because of the hitting though. I can handle hitting struggles, but i cannot do the computer messing with my fielding and base running. I will play online again when, or if, they fix it.
-
@ChuckCLC Yeah, what is up with baserunning lately? Fielding is fielding and we know what’s up with that, but my runners have suddenly lost the ability to read the game entirely. Not running on hits in gaps, not getting back to base on routine pop flies, ending up with multiple runners trying to take the same base..... It’s suddenly become a nightmare for some reason, lol.
-
In the same situation as you, and I agree with you, and your initial point.
-
The pitch speeds this year are actually slower then most year— Not as slow as 18 but 20 seems slower then 19. 21 is a good balance. Slightly faster with movement. Smooth
-
You are hitting .40 points higher than I am. I am 37 and this is my second year playing. Last year I played 300 RS games .192. This year I have played 500 games and hit 2.09 but my era is 1..34 which is decent. I feel like I am better this year than last but only .018 higher batting average so maybe im not better.
This game is very frustrating and I will play like 10 games a day so its hard to be focused like if you only play 3
-
Yea struggle at first to hit the FB but by the 5th inning I'm able to get my timing down. Seems every game is different and take a bit of adjusting.
