Check your game history, look up the player you played on the leaderboards and see what rank he is. I know if you play someone that’s a higher rank than you, you lose more points when you lose.

If you dashboard while there was a ball in the air for a home run so it didn't count, I have zero sympathy for losing that many points but otherwise, that seems too much

Wouldn’t it be the opposite...? You’d lose more if you lose to a lower rank

Yes. You lose less points if your opponent is higher ranked, obvs.

Because they are weak minded cowards. I do not quit! Ever! Dashboarding before a homerun lands is justifiably punished by waterboarding imo. When you dashboard you are essentially robbing a player of stats, xp and potential progress. If I'm facing someone that's absolutely killing me I see it as an opportunity to learn and get better at the game.
