When I did my Padres MTO run, Jurickson Profar off the bench was basically a baseball murderer. I love it when the game gives me dudes like that that I'd never think about otherwise. Profar 4lyfe.

D.J. Stewart is my Showdown god

Ji-man choi, hit probably 5 or 6 massive homeruns for me in my mto with the rays. He just kills righties.
Evo pudge on my dd team just racks up basehits for me, easily hitting over .400 with him and had him since day 1

For non-diamonds: Mark Cahna for sure. An absolute must draft in showdown
Diamonds:FOTF Chuck Nasty. He smokes every ball he touches. Will probably only use him in events because of that fielding though -

Xavier Edwards. Batting over .450 for me online just by spraying grounders through the infield and FLIES around. Good at 2B as well.

I usually pitch really well with Jack Flaherty

There might be some bias, but I still say David Dahl.
Others who are maybe better than their ratings: Joc, Mondesi, Salvy Perez, Maikel Franco, Villar, Renfroe, Grichuk, Franmil, Schoop, Moncada, Buxton (the LA versions), Soler, Sano, Willie Calhoun, Brantley, Odor, Upton, Canha, Conforto, Bruce, Galvis, Schwarber of course, Braun,

Willie Calhoun smokes the ball

John Olreud. He doesn't hit for any power, but man he gets on base.
For some reason if it's a fastball high and in Olerud has hit some clutch homeruns
