why does trout keep going up

trying to finish the al and trout buy now is almost 300k (292,950) to be exact at the moment. why does he keep climbing in price?
Probably because people are (were) down to just needing him for Biggio and Mantle!
-
And who's the supplier? Its SDS. they control the market. Don't be fooled.
-
Because as people lock in Trout for Mantle, there are less Trouts to buy. Wait until the stub sale next month, he’ll be 500k.

But at the same time people are ripping packs which would replenish the supply. SDS could drop an extra thousand trout's today in packs if they wanted to bring down the price. A card that costs more than 3 times the game is highway robbery.
-
Glad i completed the live series when Trout was 200K, Bellinger 100K and everyone else was way below 100K
-
because people keep buying him at high prices. Us players make the market just like any other card game. If people would stop buying him at 250k+ stubs, his price would go down. But, he's harder to pull from packs and people would rather buy him than test their luck on packs.
-
A lot of factors are contributing
-
It’s the Top live series card.
-
It’s easier to make stubs than pull him.
-
packs have become so bad they are basically unpullable with stubs now. So less chances to pull trout equals less trouts out there. I mean I’ve pulled thousands of packs this year but pack values are so bad now that either anybody using stubs to open packs are broke or quit the game.
-
-
I got lucky and pulled him and Rendon so I finished them that way the most expensive singular card is out of the way now I just got the Astros and Yankees as the most expensive I need to finish. I finished NL completely
-
Astros cheated

Why would they do that though?
-
So historically (other years of the show) , will this card continue to climb thru the summer or will it eventually settle back down? It makes sense that it will go up before going back down.
I'm Scherzer and Degrom away from finishing the NL, with 145k stubs atm. I obviously wish I had gone for Trout off the bat now considering I've packed 3 Bellingers this year. If there's a stubs sale in 3 weeks I have a window to save/flip and get it done before then.
-
Bought him at 294. With a potential stub sale in a few weeks bite the bullet before he hits 450k plus easy.

When is the stub sale? Is it massive, or just a few dollars? (Sorry for my lack of knowledge)

Only SDS know, but looking into my crystal ball, I’m gonna say around mid-late May, based on years past.

stimulus checks...…...duhhhhhhh
-
This is why I got him as soon as possible. Also helps this is possibly his best card yet.
