So I tracked my perfect/perfects over the last two weeks.

I might start doing this tonight just to see what kind of results I can get. I only use normal swing as well so I would like to see if I came up with similar results. This is good to see. While the sample size is still relatively small, IMO this shows why SDS doesn’t take our feedback seriously, because people get out once on a perfect perfect and you have people come on here saying “I lined out on 12 perfect/perfects screw you SDS fix your game”

Good work...i assume this was using zone hitting settings with buttons. Did you use normal swings or power swings or a variety of both?
Yeah zone, I do only use normal swings
Very interesting. I guess for online play the percentages work out but we all know for showdown they throw these game codes and percentages out the window lol
Maybe, I may track this on showdown. Like @eatyum said, he thought the percentages were way lower than they actually were. Could be the same thing happening in showdown.
You should, I'd be interested to see how it compares!
I did it already but only for outs. I wanted to see how many of the 20 outs should have been hits.
About half the time, outs should have been hits based on pci placement and timing. -

Dude this morning alone I had 3 perfects in a row go for outs so I would pretty much guarantee the percentages will be lower. AI defense is faster reacting and better than humans so based on that alone they will get to more gappers and grounders lowering the percentages. Plus in showdown I’ve gotten a lot of perfect flyballs with high power players (Giambi, Torres) and saw them die on the warning track. Showdown is a completely different beast and game engine then online h2h play but I’d love to see the results if you do.

Would probably take me 100 games to get a similar sample size lol

@eatyum said in [So I tracked my perfect/perfects over the last two weeks.](/post/87379
Results:
80+ power - 47 perfect/perfects, 44 hits, 22 home runs, good for a .936 AVG
Below 80 power - 12 perfect/perfects, 8 hits, 3 home runs, .667 average.Total: 59 achieved, 52 hits, .881 average, 25 home runs
So it’s better to have an entire lineup of players with 80+ power? Seems like below 80 power don’t get as many hits.

only on perfect perfect though. below 80 guys may not suffer from as many good squared lineouts as an 80+ guy

Can’t look that closely at only 12 observations. 2 more hits and he’s over 80, two less hits and he’s at 500.

Fun fact, the box score lists perfect/perfects during your game.

Good info. What we need is to track the good/okay with ball centre PCI
I can't do that, I'd get too mad writing all that down lol
no writing lol just stream via twitch and compile afterwards?
-
Lmao I'm wayyyyy under 500 some games ill have three perfects go for three straight outs. Hitting is trash in this game.
-
It would be really nice if these stats were available to us to review/ filter in our global profile. It would be nice to see without having to manually track. Might calm some people down regarding hitting (myself included), always remember the ones that don't go for hits and get frustrated but don't remember all the ones that went for hits.
-
I would sometimes get mad at a good/okay HR.
I've used power swing and hit a good/okay HR. Opponent is probably doing the same.
No reason to get as mad as before.
-
I just had 3 consecutive perfect/perfect liners for outs. Love to see it. It was showdown though so RNG fest.

I think im gonna keep track of my P/P balls in both modes for a week or two and see what the difference is. From my experience I have definitely seen more perfect/perfect outs in showdown than I have online

Showdown is lower difficulty, thus in order to not have literally 100 runs they need to randomize the center pci results some to make games actually end....that's why any event/rs/or br on all star is an utter joke

It’s nice and all that he recorded his numbers but honestly it’s irrelevant to try to use that as a “standard” (not that he posted this to try that) because it’s all rng. Every circumstance is different for every player in every game. Ultimately it’s what the game wants to make happen.

Why in the world would any video game stop you because your doing too good? If someone can put up 100 runs so be it. That’s like saying in COD ok you have too many kills and now we are going to stop you from getting more. The outrage from the players would be real.

Cod isn't offline, nor is there any ai implications.
Good players can hit everything squared on all star and below bc it's dumbed down that's why the actual ranked play is on hof

I'm not buying this at all. You can see your perfects in the analysis and, at least in showdown, i go 2-5 a lot more than i go 4-5 or 5-5, which you would have had to consistently been doing. PP grounders are definitely under .500 with how the game plays right now.

You are going off memory, which can be faulty. I'd encourage you to do something similar and jot down every time it happens. I did so in an excel spreadsheet. The way it "seems", isn't always reality.
