STOP TAKING A EXTRA STEP!
Yep. I do the same as the other guy, step off or pick off until I get him out or get bored
I dont play online any more, I do not miss that [censored].
Don’t really blame you. It can get frustrating with cpu feedback and bs, and then run into a bunt dancer , mr pause every 3 seconds or extra step man

I think it is just shortsightedness. The worst ones are those that know they are exploiting the game. Fortunately, lots of them turn out to be not that great at hitting, which is probably why they resort to cheesing the basepaths.

STOP TAKING A EXTRA STEP!
Learn how to pitch with runners on. Just to let you know i don’t take the extra step either.

You are the one that is delaying the game. He is only trying to counter you.
The sportsmanlike thing to do once your opponent sees you are taking an extra step lead and throws over/steps off a few times, is to stop taking an extra step and move your runner with the bat.
No you are delaying the game, learn how to pitch with runners on base and them taking the extra step won’t have any affect.

What you dont think I can slide step, pitch out throw over, have strong arm catcher throw high fastballs?
Dont make assumptions.

Lol, shows how little you know, take a step with a 90s speed guy and he will take 2nd even with a pitch out. Hell I have taken 2nd with a 90 speed guy in a pitch out without a step.

Stepping off and picking off is part of pitching, they should learn how to steal with out the extra step. If not stealing then they do not need the extra step, in MLB the show, they will eventually get picked off. I had 4 pick offs in one game. My opponent finally stop taking extra step. 2nd Base is easy to pick people off.

If my opponent wants to give me an easy out by getting picked off I will always throw over until they stop or I get the pick off.

To play devils advocate, I had a guy do this intentionally just to (I assume) [censored] me off this AM. I had a 1-0 lead, no one on. He waits as long as possible, steps off, does it again two times then just proceeds to wait 10 second between pitches and throw three balls to start every batter. When that didn’t work he entered the quick menu every two seconds, which was even more frustrating since I had to use the bathroom and couldn’t because you can’t pause when your opponent is in the quick menus. Eventually he timed out and forfeited but it made what should have been a 10 minute game take like 30 minutes. And for the life of me I can’t figure out what he gained from it.

If they are taking 2nd that easy you should probably work on starting you move home a different times.

Throwing over and stepping off two completely different things.

Stepping off is part off pitching when it’s you only move it no longer pitching your just afraid cause you can’t stop them.

I do both I change it up and also change timing on throwing over. After about 10 times of the cat and mouse throw a pitch for a strike when opponent might think I will just keep throwing over and can throw off the timing as they are frustrated I throw over so much.

Funny, I threw Buxton out giving the extra step and just slide stepping.

Opponent is afraid he can not get to 2nd without the extra lead goes both ways, I am not giving up an extra base just because opponent takes an extra lead and the fact I will eventually pick him off.

Strong words. Considering the state of this game, it’s a safe assumption that we all pitch with runners on pretty often.
Let me guess, you take an extra step with your speedy runners?
